New England Fan Experience

Last weekend I was at the New England Fan Experience and had a great time.

I had my friend Diana Harlan Stein with me. http://www.naiadstudios.com/ We've known each other for 25 years, having met at a Pern fan club gather/camp out. It was marvelous fun to sit and talk all weekend.

Also met this fun artist: http://www.purpletophat.com/ I traded a signed book for some of her artwork. Love the white haired boy! Yummy.

Will be at Worldcon

Hi all, running around like a mad woman because I'm going to Worldcon after being in United States for less than a week. I'm printing off hotel confirmations, maps, schedules -- ack! What was I thinking of? Oh well, hope to see everyone there.

Life update

I suppose I should post a little update on life.

In December of 2007, I'd fallen and hurt my knees. In the following months, I could barely walk. I went to a orthopedic surgeon who told me that I had arthritis in my knees and that I would need a knee replacement at some point. He also warned that at my weight of nearly 360 pounds that no one would do such a replacement. After months of not being able to move, I decided to do something drastic about my weight.
