A Week Of Vegetarian Meals

I'm married to a rabid meat eater. Meat has to be present in every meal, and if isn't then there'd better be some serious protein, like eggs.

So when Biker Dude agreed to let me experiment next week by cooking a week's worth of vegetarian dinners, I was excited.

Believe me, neither of us is going to become vegetarians, but we eat entirely too much meat, especially red meat, so a week without it is going to be good for us.

I still intend to use eggs and plenty of cheese in my cooking next...

Hey How About That Baby?

In other words I'm busily editing RIDING THE NIGHT so I can turn it into my editor, and I've got nothing of importance to say. So how about some pics of my granddaughter who turns 2 weeks old today?

Here's Kaylynn with her big sister Michelle:

Here she is sleeping (hmmmm for some reason she does this a lot)

And one of those rare shots of her with her eyes actually open

We think she's pretty beautiful, just like her big sister. [image error]

Snippet Saturday

Welcome to Snippet Saturday where authors share snippets of their work. Today we're showcasing Holiday scenes. I've chosen a scene from Unraveled, one of my Holiday themed stories from Samhain Publishing (Available as an individual e-book, and in print as part of an anthology). Christmas is a favorite time of year for me. This one's set in Florida. I know…no snow. But still, the holiday theme abounds. Hope you enjoy!

It was warm this afternoon. Greta was sweaty and the sun beat incessantly...

The Process Of Making A Book Not Suck

Hop around enough blogs or read author interviews and you'll discover every author has their own process for taking a book from zero to finished product. And every author tends to be different in their process. Every now and then I like to fill you in on mine (whether you like it or not [image error] )

I finished the first draft of RIDING THE NIGHT last week. The first draft is the nuts and bolts and guts of the book. It's where I do the hardest amount of work because that's where the entire creation of...

Chach Bag / Chachbag

Want to know what a Chachbag / Chach Bag is?

Remember Scott Baio from Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi? Seems he has nothing better to do these days than threaten to sue romance novelists for unfollowing him on Twitter. Oh, I only wish I was kidding. Dear Author and others feel that type of asshat behavior shouldn't go unrewarded so a Google Bomb is in order. (lots of press for his moronic behavior).

To read more about it and to help spread the word, click here and please…feel free to join...

Upcoming Books

I figured it's been awhile since I told you which books would be coming up next, so here's my schedule for upcoming book releases:

LACED WITH DESIRE - Feb 2010- This is an anthology similar to the UNLACED anthology with new novellas from me and awesome authors Joey Hill, Jasmine Haynes and Denise Rossetti. We're all very excited to be able to do another anthology for Berkley Heat. My story is titled NO STRINGS ATTACHED and you can read the blurb and excerpt here.

BOUND BRANDED & BRAZEN - March ...

Well It's Finally Happened

I've put away my flip flops and tank tops and capri pants and dragged out my sweat pants and long sleeved shirts and…ugh….socks. And closed toe shoes. And coats.

Fall has arrived. I don't know about where y'all live, but here's how it goes in Oklahoma.

Two weekends ago it hit 90. Biker Dude and I took the Harley out for a great ride. It was actually hot. We were sweating. A couple days later temperatures plummeted 40 degrees and it's been cold ever since.

*shakes fist at Mother Nature*

It...

Snippet Saturday

Welcome to Snippet Saturday, where authors share snippets of their work!

Today is Character in Danger.

I've chosen a scene from OUT OF THE DARKNESS. Werewolves and vampires and humans (oh my!) [image error]

Biker Dude and I cowrote this book several years ago and it's a book very close to my heart.

Enjoy!

"Shit! That's why they backed away! That was a fucking rocket! They must have some light anti-tank weapons or RPGs or something. Hold on!" Adrian yelled, reaching for Harlee and pulling her over the seat...

Here's Why I've Been Absent:

My new granddaughter Kaylynn was born Monday:

She weighed 6 lbs, 13 ounces and was 19 inches long. She's spending a little time in the NICU, but her mommy and daddy spend a lot of time in there with her. Kaylynn is doing just fine and should be out of the hospital within a week. Everyone loves her to pieces and we think she's quite beautiful. Her big sister Michelle (age 6) thinks having a baby sister is pretty cool.

Here's my son looking pretty darn happy to be holding his baby girl:

Anyway...
