The Ballet!
Tonight is going to be a very special night. I'm taking my daughter, my daughter in law and my 6 year old granddaughter to see the Nutcracker Ballet. I'm SO excited! I've actually never seen the ballet, though I've wanted to go for years, so this year I just bought the tickets and decided we were all going to go this year. I can't wait to take my girls. We're all going to dress up and have a great time!
I already have visions of the Sugarplum Fairy dancing in my head.
Enjoy a little of The...

How About A Christmas Present?
I know I haven't been here much these days. Life is busy. Work is busy. I suppose busy is a good thing because it keeps me writing books, but I hate to be neglectful. So for the next couple weeks I'll pop on here periodically and make it up to you by giving you the chance to win some books. Some will be mine, some will be others books. And I might even throw in a surprise here and there, so stay tuned.
Today I'm going to give away an AUTOGRAPHED copy of PIONEER WOMAN'S COOKBOOK.

Oh Woe Is December
(Sung to tune from Carol Of The Bells)
First there's the gifts, so much to do
Then I have to wrap, should I tape or glue?
How am I supposed to write when there's all this stuff to do
Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas, Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas
Decorations and lights and the tree now goes up
Scattered ornaments and tinsel and Christmas movies galore
And there sits my laptop unattended oh heavy woe.
Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas, Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas
Shopping online, then ...

Welcome to Snippet Saturday, where authors show snippets of their work.
Today is Secondary Characters, and oh is that ever a favorite of mine. I can't write a book without secondary characters. Some play a very small part, some a larger part. And since I love writing series so much, there are often secondary characters in my books who end up playing a major role in the next book. In fact, my secondary characters often end up as the main hero or heroine in a subsequent book.
A couple of the...
