Western Writers of America Spur Award Finalist
I just got some spectacular news and I wanted to share it with you: I am a Finalist for the Western Writers of America Spur Award, Best Western Juvenile Fiction for my book Tom Mix and the Wild West Christmas.
The Spur Awards, given to the best in “western” fiction, were established in 1953 by the Western Writers of America, and have been presented annually ever since. Winners of the Spur Award include Louis L’Amour, Larry McMurtry for Lonesome Dove, Michael Blake for Dances with Wolves, Glendon Swarthout for The Shootist and Stephen Harrington for The Gates of the Alamo.
This is a great honor and I will be attending the Spur Awards in Tulsa, OK in June 2024 to pick up my certificate.
