And it's not just liberal Hollywood types and ACORN supporters
Apparently the GOP felt is was behind the curve when it came to the rape-apologist bandwagon. Hell, if I parse this right, the amendment that these 30 asinine twits voted against wouldn't make it illegal for a company to make a contract saying you can't sue if their employees gang-rape you, it just said that we wouldn't do business with you if you did. Hey, de-funding organizations that facilitate rape? Sound familiar? Not only is this vote the moral equivalent of supporting the seething ...

Truffle Update
The Lab is showing marked improvement in her mobility. She's still unable to stand on her own, but she can push the Trufflemobile around now without assistance (she still needs to be bribed with treats, but that's different.) and last session at the pool she wasn't having any of that stupid "taking a break" stuff, and managed to swim a whole length of the pool without assistance. Then there are a host of other little things; she's holding her head up a lot more, she's not crossing her back ...

My cover can kick your cover's ass
I like this even better than the cover for Wolfbreed. Though in both cases I think the cover captures the spirit of the protagonist.

We gots badges
I was e-mailed both of these in rather quick succession, and while I don't have the space for graphical badges on my book pages, I thought I'd set up a blog post to show them off. I've linked the graphics to the reviews in question. It does seem that Wolfbreed is actually striking a chord in part of the romance community.

Meta Politics
Thought that, instead of my normal rant on current events, I'd go and post a little bit about some first principles. This is by way of explaining why my friend Maureen calls my politics "weird." Usually, a preface like that leads to some moral calculation of why this system is good and that system is evil, but I'm going to abstract a little further than that; I want to explain how I believe groups of human beings work. In fact, I think the central flaw in libertarianism (the philosophy I a...

And now, the Boxer
Truffles the Lab is improving slightly, but our Boxer Lilli is jealous of all the attention Truffles has been getting on my Blog, so in the interest of equal time, here's the Boxer.
Smile:
Not too impressed:
Don't you want your picture taken?
And now, of course, Pumpkin the cat is jealous.
Apparently Pumpkin is a fan of the Carrie Vaugn's Kitty Norville series:
