Trailing the Hip

My experience at trailing the Hip throughout Alberta, starting off in Edmonton then to Banff and finishing off in Calgary, was such an incredibly good time with all the limo rides, the concerts, the after concert parties and even a little mountain climbing in Banff. The live music that the Hip provides for their fans is done in a way that only a few performers can pull off, and will never be forgotten. I have seen Gord and the Gang at work prior to this trip at the Virgin festival in Calgary, so I had a good idea of what to expect, they did not disappoint. This experience was well beyond my expectations. Our first limo driver Keith was very friendly but I would have to say that Tom the driver who took us to Banff was the best. He sure fit into the category of a big party animal and when he no longer had to drive us around he offered to give us the most for our experience and toured us around Banff. When it comes to the concerts I would have to say that the Banff show was my favourite due to the building being much smaller than the other two venues plus there is something about a show in the valley of mountains that gives it that little extra, especially since my guest and I climbed two mountains earlier that day. There were seven songs that I wanted to hear more than others and they played them all. During the after parties we met all the members of the band and with this opportunity I found out that they are all very down to earth. It was an absolute pleasure to meet the Hip Gang, all of whom I value as artists. This trip came as quite a shock due to the fact that I do not have a history of winning contests especially ones that I really wanted to win. So if you ever get an opportunity to enter a contest by downloading a ringtone just do it.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity that will always be a highlight of my life, and an experience I will never forget.

With that I would like to thank

The Hip for your awesome hospitality and absolute awesome entertainment,

To TELUS mobility.

Heather MacKenzie from Universal Music. For the opportunity to have an experience of a lifetime.
