Canada Day with The Hip

Please note while planning your trip to Downsview Park on July 1st there is limited paid parking at or near the venue. We strongly advise you to use public transportation. The Downsview subway stop is only 15 minutes from the venue. There will be shuttles running from the subway station to the venue frequently starting at 10am and continuing until after the show.

If you must drive we suggest that you carpool, park at one of the nearby subway stations and take the subway the rest of the trip.


Parking at a near by Subway Station:

Downsview Station:

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.

Enter Downsview Lot from the east side of Allen Road, just south of Sheppard Avenue West; or from the south side of Sheppard Avenue West, just east of Allen Road.

Capacity is 641 spaces.



Wilson Station:

TTC Wilson Subway Station, at Wilson Avenue and Allen Road, has four parking lots.

Wilson Main Lot

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.
Enter Wilson Main Lot from the north side of Wilson Avenue, just east of Allen Road. The entrance is on the west side of Wilson Heights Boulevard.
Capacity is 932 spaces.

Wilson South Lot

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.
Enter Wilson South Lot from the south side of Wilson Avenue, just east of Allen Road. The entrance is on the west side of Tippet Road.
Capacity is 645 spaces.

Wilson Transit Road Lot

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.
Enter Wilson Transit Road Lot from the north side of Wilson Avenue, just west of Allen Road. The entrance is on the east side of Transit Road.
Capacity is 72 spaces.

Wilson West Lot

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.
Enter Wilson West Lot from the south side of Wilson Avenue, just west of Allen Road. The entrance is on the east side of Billy Bishop Road.
Capacity is 608 spaces.



Yorkdale Station:

Parking is free all day due to the Canada Day holiday.

Enter Yorkdale Lot from the south side of Yorkdale Road, west of Allen Road, at Yorkdale Mall. The entrance is at the east end of Yorkdale Mall.

Capacity is 1,217 spaces.

Canada Day with The Hip


Hi Folks,

We are excited to announce that we will be spending Canada Day in Toronto! We'll be bringing our friends Weezer, Broken Social Scene, Hey Rosetta! and Buck 65 to join in the festivities.

Starting Monday February 28th at 12pm EST we will be offering you Only registered users of thehip.com as of Sunday Feb. 27 at 11:59pm EST will have access to these tickets at tickets.thehip.com .

Use your Email & Password to login to tickets.thehip.com

The VIP ticket will give you 'Fast Pass' access into the venue, access to the VIP Area with its own cash bar, food vendors and washrooms. The VIP area is 19 only. There are also a limited number of VIP parking passes available, that will give you access to a separate parking lot. Only one person per car will require a VIP parking pass. You will need to bring photo ID to gain access to the parking lot, as well as the 'Fast Pass' entrance.

We will also be offering you a GA pre-sale starting at 10:00am EST on Thursday. There will be a limited number of early bird GA tickets available that day.
