Australia v India: second women’s one-day international – live!

Play gets under way in Mackay at 3.10pm AESTAny thoughts? Email or tweet @meganmaurice

7th over: India 40-0 (Mandhana 22, Verma 13) Perry to continue bowling to Mandhana. Beats her outside edge with a good one. Then pitches up and swings it again, but the line is starting on leg stump, and is clipped away for two. When Perry corrects the line, she beats the edge again as Mandhana drives. Australia’s field is really well set for Mandhana. The player out for the pull shot has saved a number of boundaries, and the field behind point is packed for her cut shot. She flays Perry over backward point, but it’s a risky shot, and only yields one run with a deep third in place.

6th over: India 37-0 (Mandhana 19, Verma 13) Shafali is swinging from the hip now against Brown. Moving around the crease. Hauls a shot over midwicket for four, then backs away so far that she misses a heave that was vaguely aimed towards deep third.

England chase down 245 to beat New Zealand in fourth women’s ODI – as it happened

A century of understated brilliance from the captain Heather Knight inspired England to a series-clinching victory at Derby

6th over: New Zealand 24-1 (Down 6, Green 0) Two singles from the Shrubsole over and a big run out.

That’s comical. Not so much for the running: Bates flicks to midwicket, sets off where there’s no run, rightly gets sent back, and turns for her ground. But for the dive, which happens in slow motion. She does the full production, then just... stops. No momentum. Like a penguin realising it’s on gravel rather than ice. The ground is too dry. And the dive may not have even been necessary. The throw is high from Sciver to Jones, and Bates probably would have got home while upright, or lunging. But instead she hits the ground hard, stops almost dead, and even in real time her bat is moving towards the line in slow motion. It falls short.

Australia win 25th consecutive ODI with nine-wicket victory over India

India 225-8; Australia 227-1 (Haynes 93, Lanning 53)Teenager Darcie Brown takes four wickets in Mackay

3rd over: India 30-0 ( Shafali 8, Smriti 12 )

Another wide from Perry to start the third over, she’s looking frustrated at being unable to find her line and length early. She follows it up with a nice length ball for a dot, before a brilliant cut shot from Smriti, which nearly goes for four, but is saved by a brilliant fielding effort from Rachael Haynes. Unfortunately the next ball is a full toss and it’s an absolute gift for Smriti, who flicks it past deep midwicket for four. Perry looks rattled and bowls a very wide wide next ball and then a less wide wide after that. I’d be surprised to see her come back for another over just yet. She finishes the over with a single thanks to good fielding by Brown, but gives away 16 from the over.

England beat New Zealand by 13 runs (D/L) in second women’s ODI – as it happened!

Charlie Dean took four wickets as England secured a narrow win by 13 runs

7th over: England 36-1 (Winfield-Hill 13, Knight 8) There’s a slip in for Knight facing Kerr, but undeterred the batter goes with the late cut this time. Thick edge, high and wide of the catcher, and Hannah Rowe’s dive after a long third umpire replay is deemed not to have stopped the ball before her body touched the rope.

6th over: England 29-1 (Winfield-Hill 11, Knight 3) Devine drags herself from the attack and brings in Lea Tahuhu, who bowls briskly on the line of off stump. Just a couple of singles. The scoring has been really quiet aside from those two Devine overs.

Australia Wallabies go back-to-back against South Africa Springboks – as it happened

Australia 30-17 South AfricaWallabies run in four tries for consecutive victories over Springboks

10 minutes: ... but the Wallabies win a relieving penalty of their own, when Eben Etzebeth receives the ball from that lineout and crawls across the turf trying to gain ground in a rolling maul. They get out of Dodge.

9 minutes: Another penalty blown, this time for the Australians going early on the line-out jumper. The Wallabies have conceded four penalties to one. The Boks kick for touch, right in front of the corner flag...

County cricket: Liam Dawson spins Hampshire into title contention

Title race is wide open after a pivotal day of actionWoakes puts Ashes and T20 World Cup before IPL

Roelof van der Merwe has been playing one way this morning, and he falls the same way. Aims a big drive when Balderson pitches up. There’s a bit of movement for Balderson, he beat Davies earlier in the same over. Does for the Dutchman, thick outside edge at head height to first slip, where Luke Wells gets high and holds on.

Somerset 279 for 7, still behind Lancashire by 4 runs.

County cricket: Hampshire’s Barker rocks leaders Notts – as it happened

Keith Barker took seven wickets against the Division One leaders as Hampshire ended day two with a lead of more than 200 runs

What on earth is going on for Nottinghamshire? They started the day on 29 for 1, and now they’re 33 for 4. Keith Barker has gobbled up the lot. He’s got 4 for 12, with Steven Mullaney out for 2. They’re replying to 226 in the second innings.

Glamorgan have slipped to 288 for 8 in the first innings, but Byrom is still there batting with the Dutch master Timm ver der Gugten.
