TempleSith Tuesday: Deep Fried Aunt Beru & Uncle Owen
Yeah, I did it…
And it’s back! TempleSith Tuesday: Each Tuesday I draw a character/s from the original Star Wars films, as they appear in each scene, starting with A New Hope.
The last one was Grand Moff Tarkin & his two buddies, which you can still see over at 78SQUID.. and yes, it was awhile ago, conventions & work got in the way. Should be back to schedule for awhile now at least.
This week, yes…. deep fried Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen. Each time characters change clothing or their physical form, they get drawn anew. This is definitely an improvement on what must be the most boring characters in the entire Star Wars universe…
If you dig it, it’s also up on 78SQUID now.

WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO THIS WEEKEND!
Basically what the image says. Yes, I’ll be there from Thursday!
Damn though, the world takes some strange turns… took a few more flights than expected lately on some amazing things I can’t talk about ( NDA’s that get what’s left of my soul, sorry ) Though when it all finally breaks… well, the Great Squid is currently blessing me with it’s golden tentacle…
Which in part is my way of explaining the absence of updates for awhile. ( Also, thanks to my absolutely shitty Dreamhost hosting service. Which I’ll be changing sometime soon… )… TempleSith Tuesdays WILL be back shortly… just staring at a squidload of work needing to get done as well.
& then of course, there’s the 44FLOOD, TOME kickstarter, that ends tomorrow morning. It’s been an amazing ride & the hard work is yet to begin. Thanks to all you guys for contributing, be it as a backer, or as an artist. It’s truly become a beast…

Me at my last SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
Yes.
I’m going.
BOOTH 1131, find me half way up the back, between the A and B entrances of the con.
It’ll be my last. ( Short of a really, really good reason to do it again and having someone fly me out, out of desperation )
SDCC has become something else. It’s huge, it’s not about comics much, it’s crowded & full of status obsessed hollywood industry type things. It’s not the personal thing it once was. You barely get to say hi to friends. It makes the idea of just chilling out and getting some work done, no stress from the travel, the hangovers, the lack of sleep… very enticing.
BUT… since I could get half a booth with a friend, I’LL BE THERE! One last time.
I’ve not been to California this year. I won’t be again, either. ( Sorry, Madrid & Malta are calling me instead ) This will be your one chance to see me, get something signed or hear the news about what is to come. ( And boy, there is some stuff to come! )
I’ll be debuting a bunch of things at the con.
FIRST!
The LAST IMAGE I WILL EVER DO, outside of original art/commissions… for 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. This is me revisiting, one last time, the thing that started my career, ten years on. Only 50 ever to be made. Each one, hand painted with the BLOOD. ( hence no blood in the image yet ) 11×17, embossed, $50 bucks til stocks last.
SECOND!
MISSED ME. The second Zombie hand painted print, after DEAD SUN. ( Of which I’ll have the last with me too, reserved just for SDCC ). Again hand painted blood, limited to 50 prints, embossed, same price as the last, 11×17 $50.
THIRD!
SQUIDQUEEN 1. The lady herself. stuck between two worlds, of sexy butts & tentacles…Embossed, hand painted blue/green tentacles, limited to 50 prints. $75 while stocks last of my convention supply.
FOURTH!
SNEAKY BEERS. Yes, I’ve done a special print, JUST for Ben McCool, where we’ll both finish the image WITH GUINNESS. 25 prints only. Definitely SDCC only. While the beer lasts… Get them at my booth or via Ben, at IMAGE COMICS, when we sign, Saturday, 2-3pm. Or possibly at the Gaslamp Hilton Bar each night!
And LASTLY…
A fancy set of 5 zombie postcards… yes, I’m on a zombie kick lately… leading up to something big a little further down the road…
