2014 will be the year of the SQUID.

And it starts soon.

 

TOME 2 is live!

The TOME 2 kickstarter is well underway now & thanks again for the huge support. Not only can you get in on the second volume of this beast but if you missed the first one, well, you still have a chance to get one.

Been an insane year so far. Busy busy. TEN GRAND with JMS  is going gangbusters… one of the biggest books of the year and I’m slowly working on my own plans too.

Ending the year with a bang… still a bunch of cons to go.

 

 

 

TOME

44FLOOD‘s first project, TOME is on it’s way out to people right now, some have it, some are getting it and some are still in process of being packaged. ( If anyone’s been following my instagram they can see what 8 tons of paper bricks that need to be sent around the world looks like! ) It’s been a maddening time as this object takes over the damn studio.

It’s a limited edition book, never to be printed again. We have some copies left but they’re dwindling relatively rapidly. If you want in on it, best not to wait too long. We will have limited stock at C2E2 ( Yes I’ll be there as part of the 44FLOOD booth rather than artist alley this year, so come find me there! ) next month and possibly some for some other cons we plan on attending but the bulk are shipping soon. Best place to get TOME currently is our online store & soon in some other places like the good folks at Tr!ckster!

 

 

Finally, a website update & ECCC time…

Been snowed under, crushed, bewildered, all sorts of the usual and slowly making my way back to sanity as several projects get up some steam. Not being on a plane for at least 3 weeks was also fun. This year started off with a bang and doesn’t look to be slowing down. Which is good, I guess as I’m almost caught up with *almost* everyone. Though my inbox is still a horror to behold…

Will talk soon about the new comic I’m doing with JMS ( Huzzah ) and about ramping up 78SQUID… along with, of course… the fact that TOME is about to hit…then LUST and 44FLOOD is going crazy! <!–more–>

But first, Emerald City Comic-con is about to begin. All info should be below! Yes, been horribly late about taking any commissions. I should be able to fit a few in during the show! I’ll also have a very limited number of EXPLICITUS debuting at the con, the companion process book that goes with TOME… if you miss out there’s still a limited quantity over at 44flood.bigcartel.com though.

Online Commissions

I’ve bowed to pressure & should get a bunch of commissions done while I’m off in Europe on my travels, shipping them all when I’m back Dec 12th or so. First time I’ve offered them online ( It’s usually only something I can do at actual cons ) and the head sketches are already sold out. Still some of the larger full body ones left though!

Commissions can be found over at 78SQUID! ( As with everything else ).

Off to Madrid & Malta shortly. When I’m back, I plan on actually staying in one place long enough to update sites and actually work properly. It’ll be amazing to stand still for more than a few days…

So far it’s been a wild, exhausting ride at 44FLOOD, part of a new venture I’m involved with. Our first book TOME is taking shape after an utterly amazing response from people and the arts community and the next book, LUST, is the first time Steve Niles and I are working on something creator owned together since we created a little thing called 30 DAYS OF NIGHT.

The kickstarter has just 6 days to go. We’re using it, fundamentally, as a pre-order system to know how many to print plus give options of completely personalized sketch editions, kickstarter exclusive prints and various other fancy pants versions. Suffice to say this book will be pretty hard to get once the kickstarter is over.

Oh, and it’s going to have a foreword by The Master, WARREN ELLIS. Which has me completely humbled that he’s going to write about dirty things and what not in the book.

I feel things brewing in me, thoughts about the entire nature of crowd funding, publishing and the general nature of creating…so I’ll probably rant about things at some point. I’ve just been utterly buggered lately with travel and cons and about 10 different jobs on all at the same time. My body feels like it’s hurtling towards oblivion right now & no amount of coffee can fix it. So much to do, so little time. If I’ve not gotten back to you yet, apologies. I shall. Slowly climbing out of the swamp that has been the last few weeks.

 

 

New York Comic Con!

Been absolutely slammed, with work ( On things like LUST, which is available for pre-order still for a limited time! ) & travel ( Just came back from Denmark! ) so rather late with my NYCC info!

YES, I’m there. Artist Alley, booth T1 almost the whole time. ( I have a few meetings & interviews where I’ll be away at times ) Yup, I’m taking commissions, have a few on the list already. Details below and via the “commissions” tab here on my site where you can email me what you want!

& indeed, I’ll have a NEW SQUIDQUEEN print debuting at NYCC I’ll unveil tomorrow. Because I’m fancy.

Yup, my travelling continues. It’s a bit exhausting but I love going places I’ve not been to before & meeting the people who dig my work. If you’re in Indianapolis this weekend or Montreal the next, come say hi!

I’m slowly sorting out all the commissions ( I get lots of people randomly pre-empting me asking for em, ) so bear with me, you’ll all get on the lift if you want one!

By Montreal I should have a NEW limited hand painted zombie print. Squid Queen 1 is basically sold out alas. I may have just a few copies left. If so I shall bring.

 

TempleSith Tuesday: Imperial Death Star guards & the CANTINA SCENE BEGINS

For some reason I forgot to post the last TempleSith Tuesday… but I was running around & travelling, so things get hectic & updating the site via backend is a bit more intensive than just tweeting the bloody stuff. So apologies.

To make up for that, here’s the last one AND this weeks! FINALLY, I’m on to the Cantina Scene, in all it’s perverted strange glory. I’ll do nearly all of them, if I can get info on them.
