Murder on Kaanapali Beach

Murder on Kaanapali Beach is the highly anticipated sequel to the bestselling Murder in Maui by award winning crime writer R. Barri Flowers.

Maui County homicide detective and composite sketch artist Leila Kahana and her new partner, Detective Jonny Chung, take on the case of a beautiful college instructor found murdered on the island's famed Kaanapali Beach, even as Leila continues to be haunted by a frustrating case of serial murder.

Joyce Yashiro, estranged from her husband, was suffocated when she was forced face down into the soft sand on the beach. The case is anything but simple as the victim’s life and those of the people around her are put under the microscope, with a killer watching every move the police make.

In a seemingly unrelated case, Detectives Rachel Lancaster and Trent Ferguson investigate the execution-style murder of businessman Parker Breslin in front of his Kihei home. It seems that more than one person may have wanted Breslin dead and someone made sure it happened.

As the two murder investigations progress with a myriad of suspects, a surprising connection between the cases and crimes emerge. But is there one killer or two?

As these cases move full steam ahead, there is also a brutal serial killer on the loose. Dubbed the "Zip Line Killer," he has been terrorizing women on the island, strangling them with a zip line, for over a year, while staying safely out of reach of the authorities.

Now he has struck again and Leila and Chung, along with their Lieutenant Blake Seymour, are determined to bring him down.

Do they finally have a break that can put this frightening killer behind bars before he strikes again? Or is he merely toying with them while sizing up his next victim?

Bonus material includes a complete mystery novelette, Kaanapali Beach Paradise, and excerpts from the upcoming third book in the Leila Kahana Mysteries series, Murder of the Hula Dancers; as well as the author’s bestselling Hawaii mysteries, Murder in Honolulu and Dead in Pukalani.

In Lake Barri, Colorado, bestselling children’s book author Courtney Hudson didn't date, didn't go barhopping and definitely didn't do one-night stands. But when she decided to let loose for one night, who would have guessed the beautiful young widow would end up in the bed of a sexy, good looking hunk from Alaska? Forever Sweethearts by R. Barri Flowers
In the time honored tradition of such novels as Bridges of Madison County and The Notebook comes a nostalgic, poignant tale of college sweethearts, young love gone awry, second chances, and new beginnings. Taylor Holland and Vaughn Mitchell, former lovers at Michigan State University, reunite after 25 years on a reality TV show and rekindle their romance. Is love better the second time around? Or is there too much water under the bridge to find the magic again?

Kissing the Man Next Door by Devon Vaughn Archer
Hairstylist Mackenzie Reese is feeling fabulous and free! Her teenage son has gone cross-country to live with her ex, so Mackenzie's got a new lease on life. Then sexy disc jockey Ian Kelly moves in next door, stirring desires. Ian moved to Vermont for a job and independence. The romance that exudes between the hot neighbors can overcome any obstacles. Or can it?

But having been hurt by men in the past, Connie remains wary of love and romance. Mitch had not counted on meeting Connie, who immediately captivated him like no woman had before. Their all-consuming passion holds the promise of much more, were it not for trust issues that stand between them. Now both Connie and Mitch must reconcile the past to have a chance for a future with each other and all it entails.

To Find That Love Again by Devon Vaughn Archer
After losing his wife and daughter in a car accident, writer-photographer Richard Lowry loses his will to do what he does best, becoming a recluse at his house on the famed 17-Mile Drive on California's Monterey Peninsula. Single mother Janine Henderson, an editor at Richard's New York City publisher, is assigned the task of bringing him back into the fold, with two books left in his contract. The two begin to connect beyond their professional association and personal misfortunes as they seek to find true love again. Or will a secret exposed stop their romance in its tracks?

When a modern day historical romance writer rents a cabin in Sky Creek, Colorado to complete her next novel, a strange dog shows up, along with a handsome man and young boy. Masters of True Crime Anthology Now in Audio

MASTERS OF TRUE CRIME, a gripping anthology, edited by #bestselling #author @RBarriFlowers is now in #audio for the first time.

Spanning murder cases from the beginning of the 20th century to today, this is a must-hear for fans of true crime and will also be compelling to mystery and thriller listeners. The contributors include Harold Schechter, Katherine Ramsland, Carol Anne Davis, Burl Barer, and other leading writers in this genre.

In February 1975, nine-year-old Marcia Trimble left her house in Nashville to deliver Girl Scout cookies in the neighborhood. She never returned. After a massive but fruitless search, her body was discovered on Easter Sunday. Outrage and horror gripped the community of Nashville, but the murder investigation was frustrated at every turn. The case went cold for three decades until it was finally solved.

In January 1997, Herbert Blitzstein was found murdered in the living room of his Las Vegas townhouse. A notorious mob insider, "Fat Herbie" had pursued loan sharking and other rackets for decades. Now, Blitzstein had been dispatched gangland style - by three bullets to the back of the head - in what appeared to be a classic contract killing. But the details of who killed him and why turned out to be much more complicated, and the real motives and circumstances remain murky to this day.

These are just two examples of the riveting stories assembled in this unparalleled collection of some of the top true crime writers in the world. Each of the 17 contributors draws on his or her own strengths, backgrounds, interests, and research skills to describe, in a vivid narrative, not only the facts of each notorious case but also the terrible emotions and macabre circumstances surrounding the crimes.

“A fascinating, must-read compendium of true crime by some of the genre’s leading authors.” —Gary C. King, bestselling author of Blood Lust: Portrait of a Serial Sex Killer

“This book should be a mandatory purchase and read for any true-crime buff. It is, indeed, an exceptional collection of true-crime stories.” —Steven A. Egger, PhD, associate professor and chair of the Criminology Program at the University of Houston–Clear Lake

“Incredible cases, psychopathic killers, unwitting victims, along with the very best writers, make for an exciting, no-holds-barred, soon-to-be true-crime classic.” —Dan Zupansky, host of True Murder: The Most Shocking Killers in True Crime History
