Charlotte Harding Brown (known professionally by her maiden name) was an illustrator for such magazines as The American Magazine, The Century, Collier’s, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s Weekly, The Ladies’ Home Journal, McClure’s, and The Saturday Evening Post. She attended the Philadelphia School of Design for Women and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and studied at the Drexel Institute under the famous Howard Pyle.

Her works were exhibited at the Women's Exposition at Earts' Court in London in 1900, at the 1915 St. Louis Exposition, and at the 1915 Pan-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco.

Harding was a founding member of the Plastic Club women's art group in Philadelphia and a member of the Philadelphia Water Color Club.
