Dr. John C. Chilton is a Civil Engineer. Currently, he is Professor of Architecture and Tectonics at the University of Nottingham.

Chilton received his B.Sc. in Civil and Structural Engineering in 1970. He then worked in bridge, highway, and structural design. He completed his Ph.D. on the 'CUBIC' Space Frame, then worked on the 'CUBIC' Space Frame-roofed FFV Aerotech aircraft hangar at Stansted Airport.
