Publishers Weekly highlights my latest book, AI VALLEY, in its preview of notable releases coming this spring. I like that PW’s short write-up emphasizes the gold rush mentality that drives the book’s narrative. In the publication's clipped language, “The Pulitzer winner reports on Silicon Valley power players’ rush to acquire and fund AI start-ups in the wake of ChatGPT’s."

I had a good time reporting this one, which marks my return to Silicon Valley, where I got my start as a tech/business journalist in the mid-1990s. A lot has changed since that time but also nothing has changed as founders and their funders still dream the same oversized dreams of becoming tech’s next Google or Facebook.
