Speaking for the Dead
His name was Brian Herzog. Google it and you'll see his obituary describing his "sudden death" on 11/13/2023. Just below you'll see pictures of him receiving the experimental COVID vaccine in January of 2021; he was one of the first officers on the island to get it. The Army used him as a poster child to tout the mandate and his picture was all over Facebook. I remember those days; no amount of wine could drown them out (I should know, I packed on ten pounds from trying!)
I wonder if the monitors at Google see the irony in the proximity of these postings. I also wonder if the elites have seen Brian's story posted in conspiracy theory videos from my fellow foil hatters.
Well, if they have, they don't care. Brian is one of many they are all too happy to lose, but it would have benefitted them far more to lose someone like me. I'm mean, dear reader, and Brian just wasn't.
Brian was kind. He was a good father with four little kids, a compassionate husband, and a worthy soldier. He wasn't in any way political.... he just was. I knew him and his wife. We weren't super close, but we were neighbors during the COVID mess, and the first thing I thought of when I heard what had happened was that shot.
I thought about Brian the other day as I opened my cupboards and found it: the jar his wife had made me with the unit crest. I haven't contacted the family since they moved away. Like I said, we were neighbors, we knew each other, but we weren't super close, and I didn't think she would appreciate me popping up out of nowhere in the midst of her grief.
I gave the jar away; I don't need it to remember what they did to Brian. I don't need it to remember to speak for the dead. Let Brian sing with the angels; I'll continue hissing at the hellions that took him.

An Open Letter to My FBI Agent
I like to write my FBI Agent periodically. The rumor is that everyone has one. In lieu of my regular blog, I present my open letter to him, who I have named Jim.
Jim,
I hope you are doing well. I apologize for not writing sooner, but you know how busy I am.
Literally.
Me on the other hand- I'm not as linked into your welfare as you are into mine, which is why I'm writing. I saw the attempted assassination, Jim. You know everyone did, and I can't help but wonder how the bureau has been since then. I imagine heads are rolling one way or the other, whether it's because the shooter missed or the shooter took the shot. Difficult to say.
The foil hats are all a shine with this rumor or that, but no matter the case, I don't fault you, Jim. See, we like to think we are in charge of things, but at the end of the day, nothing goes to completion without the authority of the Big Guy. Someone took the shot, but the Big Guy stopped it. We make plans Jim. Sometimes we execute and sometimes we attempt, and sometimes.... God laughs.
There's also the matter of good people in bad places, in bad organizations. Staying for whatever reason-because they need their jobs, out of hope they can change things from within, because they care about the people they work with, or simply because they have nowhere else to go. They stay defiantly while the place rots around them and somehow, through whatever miracle, their soul doesn't rot with it.
At least, not completely.
I hope you are one of these Jim. I would like to think you are, which is why I keep inviting you.
No, not that way! (I saw what you did to my rose bushes while spying on me the other night, it's a miracle you didn't kill yourself!) Come in through the friggen front door! Talk to me, tell your coworkers to talk to the citizens they've been spying on, and we can discuss how we are to survive what's coming.
Because at the end of the day Jim, they're not after just me or the other foil folk, they're after ALL of us.
Yes, you included.
Again, the front door is always open (seriously, I can't emphasize "front door" enough. I am putting out mole traps and if you lurk again, you'll get a toe taken off!)
Much love,
Your favorite neighborhood Infidel :)

Handmaiden's Tale or Harem Maiden's Tale?
The Handmaiden's Tale portrays a "Christian" dystopia in which women are lesser than men, and handmaidens (something of a cross between surrogate mothers and sex slaves), are forced to bear children for couples otherwise unable.
But handmaidens are not the only ones restricted; all women are severely limited in this society. Margaret Atwood's world prohibits women from becoming doctors, lawyers, or other advanced professionals. The only ones excepted from this rule are the "Aunts" whose duties are too eclectic for the purposes of this blog but resemble nothing of what women are allowed to do today.
The different women are identified by their different dress, by their "political veils" so to speak. The handmaidens dress in red with white bonnets, the society ladies or wives dress in blue, and the other servant women dress in green. It is a dystopia in which dress defines function and worth, and that is why Atwood's creations are such fun!
But are they realistic?
For the answer, we must examine Christianity's legal code. Or we would if there was one, but there isn't. This is because Christianity is a decentralized faith composed of three main sects, the Protestants, Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox. Each of these factions reveres Christ as God but disagrees about how to express that reverence and live in accordance with Christ's commands. Thus, these three form an unofficial system of checks and balances that results in constant introspection, self- examination, and apologetics. This is no recipe for forming a hardline legal code. Thus, Christianity doesn’t have one.
What Christianity does have is the Ten Commandments, which say nothing about how a woman should dress or what professions she should enter. The Ten Commandments do prohibit murder, which many Christians equate abortion with, but this is a disagreement about the moment a living being becomes a living being, not about women's rights specifically. It is also worth mentioning that some protestant sects do allow for abortion! (See what I mean about disagreement/decentralization?)
There are passages in the Bible advising women to dress modestly, but this a recommendation, not a law. Likewise, the complicated legalistic code in the Old Testament regarding female behavior and cleanliness was deemed unnecessary for non-Jewish followers of Christ at the Council of Jerusalem in 40 A.D.
Paul had this to say about the Mosaic Law for Gentile believers: ""It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood."
That is a far cry from Atwood's Dystopia.
But if that isn't enough for you-Just look around. The United States is majority Christian and has been since its founding. And yet, I have yet to see a true “Christian” political veil outside of feminist protests and comic cons. Seems to me that if Atwood's work had a chance of becoming reality, we would have been knee deep in Marthas, handmaidens, econowives a long time ago!
So, if Atwood's creation is not supported by Christian law or doctrine, then why is it so popular?
Well, my foil hat is telling me that it has to do with the glowing boxes and their power to indoctrinate and manipulate. You've got to remember-the elites hate Christianity because Christianity says that there is nothing greater than God/Christ, and the power addicts don’t' like that. They want people afraid of Christianity, to turn away from it, so THEY can have power!
.
What better way to make people hate Christianity than to sensationalize a fictional scenario, promote fictional political veils while ignoring the actual dystopia of black and blue veils we find in the Middle East? Ignore the factual four wives allowed by the Koran and the harems of captured concubines, in favor of fictional econowives, handmaidens, Marthas, and Aunts created by Atwood!
Don’t' get me wrong, I read Atwood's book and enjoyed it for what it was, a fun fictional dystopia. The writing style was also unique and perfectly portrayed the trauma Offred was living through. It was enjoyable, it was a good read, but at the end of the day, it was just that! It has no doctrinal support, no basis.
There is, however, doctrinal support for political veiling in the books of Islam, and the Sharia, Islam's legal code, provides countless instances of women's second-class citizenship coming into play, especially with regard to claims of rape and child custody.
In short, we are FAR more likely to endure a Harem Maiden's Tale than a Handmaiden's Tale, and I hope the women in Offred cosplay get that, before it's too late.

Regarding Elder Abuse
Elder abuse is a topic that is near and dear to my heart because I've seen it more than once in my life, and now, the whole country has too. For clarity, I am referencing Joe Biden's presidency; for extra clarity, this isn't a political post.
No, this blog is a humanitarian piece, a sad but based reflection on the depths to which our country has fallen, that we would allow, and even encourage, the open and flagrant abuse of someone unfit to run a toaster, let alone a country.
Joe Biden has dementia and/or Alzheimer's; I say that with confidence because he can't negotiate stairs, uneven surfaces, or even a toilet. His face is a mask of pain and confusion as he stares at things not visible to the rest of us, and when he speaks, we hear what the medical professionals call a "word salad," an unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases that lacks coherence.
Such an individual should be in a special facility or cared for at home by loved ones. He should be seated in a comfy rocker with a therapy cat on his lap- Not anywhere near the American Presidency, AKA the most stressful job in the world!
Many say that Joe is a criminal and deserves humiliation. I understand where they are coming from. Joe Biden's shot mandate killed one of my husband's coworkers, and many American lives have been destroyed by his open border edicts. Meanwhile, the luckier of us struggle daily under his inflation and horrid economy, so I empathize with this opinion.
But I do not agree.
I don't agree because, given Joe Biden's mental state, he is likely not making any decisions for this country. It is also possible that he has NEVER made any decisions of substance for the country as President. Thus, he may, in fact, NOT be personally responsible for the shot mandates, inflation, or border invasion under which we suffer. Only those closest to him know the truth, so we should be asking them!
We should be grilling Joe Biden's handlers to find out what's going on, and then likewise holding them accountable. Not fixing our anger on a feeble elder who appears, at least from where I sit, to be as much a victim of power-hungry tyrants as we are.
.
We may never know the depths of the Biden Administration's depravity, but one thing is certain: Jill, White House Staff, and anyone else pulling Joe's strings are guilty of horrific elder abuse. They are using Joe like a puppet to enact their sordid schemes and cling to power, and their abuse of Joe - and by proxy us - must stop.
NOW.
As for Joe? Well, he may be guilty of many things, but he is in no condition to stand trial or confess, and he will never be again in this life. If it were up to me, I would put him under house arrest or in a long-term care facility somewhere with lots of ice cream until he passes into God's hands.
Given the complexities of this case, I think God is the best one to deal with him anyway.

Regarding Jonah and the Whale
The story of the stubborn man who became fish food has captured the imaginations of many. Rumor has it that this Biblical Classic even inspired Pinocchio, but the story of Jonah and the Whale has a little-known side, and it's important for our modern times: WHY Jonah got eaten in the first place.
The Sunday School version is that Jonah got eaten because he ran away from God. But more specifically, Jonah ran away from the task God assigned him. You see, Jonah was supposed to deliver a message to Ninevah, the ancient capital of Assyria, and no one in the ancient world liked the Assyrians, Jonah included. They were the bullies of the ancient world-brutal warriors who laid waste to civilizations left and right. None of their neighbors went unscathed by their sword, and even if Jonah had no personal run ins with them, it's safe to assume he knew someone who did.
God's ask of Jonah can be best compared to asking a countryfied Bible thumping Texan to go into the thick of San Francisco, California and tell them to change their ways. Any true Texan would at least some hesitation, and a good amount of nausea, at the prospect.
This is because-and I'm sorry for any Californians who may be reading this- as a general rule, none of the other states like California. When Californians flee their state, they drive up the cost of living for the native born, change the culture until natives no longer recognize their home, and then have the gall to vote for the very garbage they fled. Though not with direct violence, Californians lay waste to their neighbors in more subversive but equally effective ways
The same can be said of New Yorkers and other "leftugees" who have not learned their lesson.
I am God's servant, and He my Master, but I would cry if He asked me to go to #RETCHING NOISES# California, which is why I'm lucky I haven't gotten eaten by a fish yet.
This is because, despite most of the country's visceral reaction to #NAUSEA/DRYHEAVES# California, God loves them, just like God loved Assyria and Assyrians. God wanted the Assyrians to have a final chance at repentance, at being better and doing better, and so he sent Jonah. He changed Assyria once, and yes, He even can change (CRINGEWORTHY) California before the San Andreas fault eats them all....IF He so chooses.
I don't know who He's sending to California, I just hope he or she gets there in a hurry.... before California lays waste to us all.

Regarding Self Preservation
I recently finished a book I won't name out of respect. The first half of it was fun and relatable; it felt like a 90's sitcom full of little anecdotes, but the second half was something of call to "reach across the aisle" and "get along" with leftists.
There were essentially two things at the heart of this call: 1.) this author, bless his heart, has leftists in his family, and 2.) though not in these exact words, he admitted that leftists can be dangerous when they don't get what they want.
I understand this perspective and can even empathize with it. Who doesn't want peace with close family members? Also, prior to the last four years, this argument would even have made sense to me. I would have gladly extended my hand before COVID, and the treatment of the J6th prisoners, and the shot/mask mandates, and the Trump ruling, and.... #SIGH#...I could go on but won't.
You get the idea.
These days, I'm fully convinced that if I extended my hand to the left, they'd not only take my hand, but they'd also chop my arm off right along with it! No, leftists are not interested in discussing tax brackets or programs for the needy. They don't want to hear anyone's ideas about how to run healthcare or the country.
They have their OWN ideas, and by God they are going to shove them down your throat. They don't care if they rupture your esophagus in the process; in fact, if they do, the better! Most of them believe overpopulation is causing climate change, so breaking a few more eggs on the way to utopia is no skin off their nose, to say nothing of yours.
They don't care about creating a pile of ashes, so long as they can rule over said pile. The author is right: They are dangerous. They mean business. They are out for blood. They want totalitarian control, and I think they'll stop at nothing to get it.
Reach across the aisle?
No thank you, for that would be tantamount to suicide, and suicide is a sin.

Beware the Enemy of Your Enemy
It has been said "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." This quote, first written by Hindu scholar Kautiluya in the 4th Century BCE, has been recycled by minds throughout the centuries. Generals, kings, and politicians have even used this popular echo to make important decisions, and it's easy to see why.
It rolls nicely off the tongue; as a writer I appreciate pretty words. The meaning of these words also seems simple and sage. To its credit, this phrase has proven true on many occasions.
But Christians should be particularly cautious regarding this, because for us, it is not always true. For us, more often than not, the enemy of our enemy is just another enemy.
How so?
Well, Christians worship a Risen God in a fallen world, and this puts us in an extremely unique situation. Revelation describes Christ returning to conquer earth, but until then, we are in enemy territory with Satan's minions running rampant.
These minions are called by many names: communists, globalists, political Islamists, radical Hindus, militant atheists, militant democrats, etc, etc, and still more etc, but the point is not their title. The point is that they exist, and in the course of their existence, they can and often do fight with each other.
Their disagreements can seem like opportunity to the Christian, but again, caution is advised.
I'll use two examples.
Recently, pride culture has encouraged the open and flagrant celebration of sexual orientations in public schools. Christians are notably against this; so are Muslims. While this seems to be an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation, the Christian must beware. Islam is as different from Christianity as night is from day. Yes, they have some similar views regarding family and child rearing. Yes, Muslims are against open displays of homosexuality. Yes, Muslims can be very vocal at school boards and help push back against rainbow overreach, but at the end of the day, their doctrine is their doctrine. Mohammed is Mohammed. Sharia Law is still Sharia Law, and no amount of interfaith dialogue is going to change this.
Similar can be said of the Black Lives Matter and Free Palestine movements. Certainly, Christians agree that all lives matter, and no one likes what is going on in Palestine. Christians value all life, including an enemy's life. But while these groups outwardly champion the cause of human life, they have communist revolution lurking at their heart, and communism was built on the dead bodies of the faithful.
Now don’t get me wrong, we should engage the enemy. We must spread the gospel and win souls for our God, but these engagements must occur under guarded circumstances, and whatever alliances we forge with the enemy must be entered rarely and with extreme caution. These alliances also must NEVER be mistaken for friendships; at best, they are "truces,” and the definition of a truce is a temporary and mutually agreed upon end to hostilities between two groups to accomplish a common goal against a bigger threat.
The second that goal is accomplished, the truce ends.
For Christians, the enemy of our enemy can be useful, the enemy of our enemy can be respected, and the enemy of our enemy must be engaged, but the enemy of our enemy is NEVER automatically our friend, and it’s vital we remember that when dealing with them.
Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys
One of my past employers offered a variety of services. When my boss found out how quickly I learned, he turned me in to a float, working in the varied sections of our group depending upon the day and need.
We were an ideal sized company - big enough to provide for our client's needs, but small enough to remain close, like a little family. We grew to know each other and each other's clients, and thus the temptation to take up another professionals' responsibility could be strong at times.
As a float, I had to be particularly mindful of this, for even though I knew how to perform in all the sectors, my legal capabilities were defined by my location. I had a saying to help me remember my boundaries: "Not my circus, not my monkeys."
I think this saying can be applied no matter who you are or where you are working. As human beings we all have our limits; there are some battles we can take up and some we can't. Some circuses are ours, and some monkeys aren't, and I can think of no better phrase with which to warn these Palestinian protestors.
Last I checked, the vast majority of these people protesting on behalf of Palestine are Americans. They are not Palestinians, Israelis, or from any country in the Middle East. They are Americans and as such should be concerned with American things.
The cause of Palestine, sad though it may be, is not theirs. It is a complicated centuries old mess dating back to the time of Abraham, when Hagar and her son Ishmael were cast out and away from the promised son Isaac. The Islamists have never forgotten this rejection, the Jews continue to believe they are the Chosen People.... and so here we are.
Throw in the mix Bethlehem's Christians who are barely hanging on, and we have a tragedy that the average gender theory major is ill equipped to dissect or deal with. Heck, I have a hard time, and I 've been to the Middle East!
This sad and ancient fight is between the Israelis and the Palestinians; it began long before I was born, and short of Christ's return, it will rage on long after my death. Thus, this war is THEIR specialty. THEIR circus. THEIR monkeys. And NO one else's!
I know this seems a cold way to characterize such a brutal conflict, and I certainly don't mean to cheapen it. I only wish to frame it in a way that might somehow knock some sense into my countrymen. Before they find themselves drafted, labeled domestic enemies, locked up like the J6th prisoners, or worse....
Over something that is NOT their fight, NOT within their understanding, NOT their circus, and definitely NOT their monkeys!

Jesus is Coming. Look Busy!
There has been an obsession lately with end times, and I don't blame the faithful. After all, it looks like we may be entering them. From bombs here to natural disasters there, it seems like we are just one hellfire away from Jesus showing up on a white stallion or rapturing the faithful.
But while Revelation seems to describe our times, it has also described many times in history. Also consider another important piece regarding end times; this one is found, not in Revelation, but in the book of Matthew: "but of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only" (Matthew 24:36.) In other words, no human can predict when Christ will appear, so why are we constantly trying to do so?
After all, we were not put on this earth to stare at the sky but to better ourselves and the world around us. Therefore, if we can't predict when Jesus is coming, and we have things we need to do, shouldn't we be "looking busy" instead of "looking up?"
A priest was once asked while gardening: "If you knew you were going to die in ten minutes, what would you do?"
Unperturbed, he looked back at his plants and said: "I'd try to finish this row."
The priest was busy and used to being busy. He felt ready to meet God because he had spent his life bettering himself and this earth. So, he was calm at the prospect of being called home. Furthermore, he wanted to be able to say: "Look I planted a beautiful garden just before I died. I knew You were coming so I wanted to be busy."
I know that "Jesus is coming, look busy" first appeared on a bumper sticker, but maybe we should take the phrase more seriously. If Jesus is coming, maybe we should all be more focused on being busy, and if He does happen to show up, we'll have something to show for our time on this earth. We'll have works to match our faith, which the Bible clearly promotes. (James 2:14-26)

A Celebration of Lasts
I'm going through a season of change in my life, and as a result, engaging in the "last" of things. The last of the parties, the last of the ceremonies, the last of my time with an organization that prides itself, (or used to) on tradition and history.
But this organization is for the young, and I am young no more. Many dread similar times in their life. They undergo a "midlife crisis" as they see their youth slip away with former ties, with their "lasts." But thankfully that's not something I am vulnerable to, and I think it is because, by the grace of God, I have been given the ability to celebrate my "lasts."
Many that I graduated from military schools with are no longer on this earth; they were denied their lasts. There has been a rash of young civilian deaths lately, and these similarly were not given the privilege of middle, and old age.
Even if I were to die tomorrow, I could say I was a mother who raised her children, a wife who kept her marriage, a soldier who survived, and an author who didn't let cancel culture cancel her. That is a life well lived.
The Bible says that: "They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green." Psalm 92:14. If I am allowed to live past middle age, then I have much to look forward to, and so I enter this new time in my life with a smile.
I am not sure what we are headed for, or if 2024 will prove the foil folk wrong, but no matter what, dear reader, don't mourn your "lasts." Celebrate them! Don't be sad because they are over; be happy because they happened!
I hope this perspective brings you some comfort in the months ahead....no matter what we are headed for.
