This sequel to The Unquiet Bones was just as interesting at the first novel. Hugh de Singleton's wit and humor reign again and keep the reader chuckling. It is very helpful to refer to the glossary as you are reading to learn more information about medieval life. There is a growing romantic interest in this book for Hugh, who has been praying for a wife. He also has contacts with John Wycliffe, who has some trouble in the tale. My Mom's Review

This book was very enjoyable reading. Hugh de Singleton is a very interesting character. I really enjoyed the use of  "unmodern" words and the glossary of medieval terms. Hugh's sense of humor was very enjoyable. I could not help but laugh out loud at his funny twist and turns.

Since I have a husband who goes back to medieval days and castles, the history in the book was very enjoyable. Hugh did question the prevailing religious thought of the day as did the person of  Joh...

An Encouraging Note from a Reader
