Have you ever wondered how important the right order is, when reading a series?

I’m somebody who definitely prefers to read in the correct order, and it's something I never even questioned before watching Kaleidoscope on Netflix. The concept behind Kaleidoscope, if you haven’t seen it, is that there is a final episode that must be watched last. But the rest of them appear in whatever random order the Netflix algorithm chooses for you, which is such an intriguing idea...

And it particularly struck me because, similar to Kaleidoscope, each volume of my Kit & Tully series is told from a different perspective. So, in theory, you probably could join the story along the way, and I’ve been super-curious to see if this worked in practice.

Anyway, ARC reviews are starting to come in for Zero Chance, Kit & Tully Book 4, and what’s really interesting is readers who are new to the series have no difficulty getting into the story.

One reviewer said:

"This little novel offers an intriguing look inside the world of Kit and Tully. This book may be read independently of the others in the series, because I haven't read any of them.”

And another commented:

"I haven't read the other books in the series, but this one can be read as a standalone story.”

So I guess this shows that, for this series anyway, order doesn’t seem to matter, which is kinda fascinating...

First Album is Book 3 in the Kit and Tully Series and it’s coming out on Tuesday (7th March).

One of the things about the series is that each book is told from a different Point of View. It starts with Tully, the new guy, arriving in Drimshanra at the beginning of the summer in First Kiss. Then, in First Valentine, Kit continues their story through her final year of boarding school in Dublin. First Album moves on to the next stage of their lives, fresh out of school and about to start university, from best friend, Felice’s point of view.

Just as they wished for, the friends are finally free to spend even more time together in Dublin. On the surface, it all looks idyllic, but Felice is close enough to them all to notice when the cracks begin to appear.
First, Spike rushes into accepting an exciting offer, and Felice, never one for caution herself, wishes he’d pause to weigh up the risks involved. Then she’s worried about Kit, who’s struggling to settle into law. Finally, Mac Whitehead, an endless source of threat and temptation, is still lurking in the wings.

But all that fades into the background when Felice’s personal circumstances take a change for the worse, and threaten to derail her hopes and dreams…

Sceptical as ever, there are moments when she can’t help but wonder about Aonghus, and whether the choice Kit and Tully made, affects them all…

So that’s the premise, but Felice has a complicated relationship with most people, including her best friends and quite a few readers!!!
Let’s just say I was a little worried about how well her version of events would go down, and was delighted when an early reviewer had this to say…
