I recently finished Elizabeth Haskell's Novel entitled North and South.
Wow! This is a classic with such an intelligent string of characters exhibited though the dialogue. It is a class warfare story set in England and revolves around the textile town of Milton for the most part. Very engaging if you love slow burning romances and storylines. There were parts I could have skipped and been happy to on retrospect, mostly due to the side characters not being as interesting as the main ones but still, it was a good read.
