New Review for The Cowboy Way!
On Amazon from a reader! Posted with the reader's permission.
5 out of 5 stars The Cowboy Way is "the" Way!, November 11, 2012 By SillySally
This review is from: The Cowboy Way (Kindle Edition)
This is a very well written story. I loved the characters, the storyline, and the steamy romance. It was also a story that was more believable than most. Each week I read about 5-6 books and I rarely come across one that I feel strongly enough to write a review. The majority of the books I read are 2-3-4 stars with an occasional 5 star. This one is definitely a 5 star read. See that hot guy on the front cover? He is the man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to take action. Being strong and bold, yet caring is the "Cowboy Way." I don't think you will be disappointed in this book if you like cowboys! I'm looking forward to many more books from Tory Richards.

I went out into the world today. Had a lot of running around to do and then had lunch with an old friend from work. I asked Mel why it's so hard to get together. We worked side by side for almost ten years and have seen each other maybe twice since I've retired. She said she was busy. I know that. That's why I went to where she works so it would be easier for her.

My VETERAN
Passed away March first of this year. He was a veteran of WWII and my soul mate. I think about him every day. During our seventeen years together he didn't talk much about the war. But he was addicted to the history channel and once in a while when they were showing war stories he would look at me and say, "I was there." The only thing I knew for certain was that he lied about his age to get in, he was only seventeen. And the name of his ship was the USS Brownsville.
I kept his favorite WWII hat, it's hanging on one of the posts on my bed. It still smells like him.
I love and miss you Earl. You'll always be my hero!

Two BIG Hops Going On & LOTS of Prizes
LINK to 121 participating authors.
That's 121 prizes folks!I think it's safe to say that most of us like a hero in uniform. There's just something about them that makes us feel safe, protected, and cherished. Not to mention they are sexy as hell!
The hero in my book, The Promise, is a Marine. Not only is the story a holiday story, it's about grief, moving on, and accepting new love. Below is a brief blurb. If you're interested in a chance to win a copy then leave a comment with your email. A Marine home for the holidays...his brother's beautiful widow...and a promise that binds them together as much as the passion between them!

CONGRATULATIONS TO JO AT(jochibi AT yahoo DOT com)FOR WINNING THE PRETTY SCARF BELOW!
That's 222 giveaways on top of the grand prizes below folks!
What do you love about Autumn and Fall? What does it remind you of? For me it's home, cooler weather, the crackling of a fire in a fireplace, and the holidays. It's spending more time outdoors. Marveling at the fall colors, if you're lucky enough to live in a northern state. Florida's fall colors basically boil down to the maple trees where the leaves turn and then drop off.
I haven't been home (Maine) to enjoy the fall in years. But you can bet my heart is there when the temperature drops even a little here. Every year my cousin, Mary sends me a home made Christmas wreath the beginning of December, and I hang it on the front door where it stays for months. Even brown I love the smell of pine and home. It's no wonder this is my favorite time of year.
What do you like about Autumn and Fall? Leave a comment, along with your email, and one randomly drawn reader (US/Canada only)will win this pretty scarf!

You don't realize how quiet it is when the power goes off until it goes back on. All at the same time the dryer, dishwasher, TV, fish aquarium and fire alarm started up. Oh and let's not forget the beeps the clock on the stove,TV and microwave make. I don't know why the fire alarm went off, though.
All this interfered with Mason's morning nap, and I can only hope it didn't wake his daddy, who works nights.
Do we live in a spoiled world or what? When the power went off at 9:15, right in the middle of Kelly and Michael who had guest Robert Patten on, I lay on the couch for a moment like I was preparing for death or something. What happens now? And I immediately thought of the TV show, Revolution. LOL

What a day I had
Since I've retired I don't get out much anymore. Maybe once a week. And then it might be to meet a friend for dinner or do a little grocery shopping. Today I found myself running all over the place. The bank, two grocery stores, the beauty salon, and post office. I am so tired! Well...I missed my nap! LOL
Might need to break out my flannel nightgown. Supposed to be in the forties tonight. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
