Thanksgiving and Black Friday are over so we're now in fu...
Thanksgiving and Black Friday are over so we're now in full-on Christmas mode. Who went shopping yesterday? I stopped going on Black Friday a long time ago. But I did do some online buying. I'm telling you, you can find bargains out there with free shipping if you just look. Sure beats the crowds and crazies:)

I haven't gone shopping on black Friday in years. I don't like shopping anyway, because of the crowds. And something happens to otherwise nice people during the holidays. Before you know it you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, where you either back down or join the crowd. Nope, I love online shopping. Jamie Salisbury
We have a guest with us folks. Jamie is here today to talk about her new book, Tudor Rubato. She recently sat down with her hero and shared her interview with him below. Please take a moment to say.
BIO:
Jamie Salisbury cannot imagine a time when she did not write. A skill that has served her well throughout her diversified professional career that encompassed public relations in and around the entertainment industry, photography, editing, and special event planning.
An avid reader of history, biographies, and romance it's only natural that she prefers to write romances with characters said to be "so authentic they spring forth from the page and shake the reader's hand." No stranger to life threatening situations Jamie pulls from life experience when she creates her stories. Such as when her family had to escape Chile when she was a teen because of the unstable political climate.
Finding herself unable to walk great distances as a result of several foot surgeries, she started writing once again as a way to pass the time. With the completion of her first novel Perpetual Love she dove head first into the eBook and digital publishing paradigm. She couldn't be happier with her decision to grab the publishing industry by the shoulders and force it to pay attention to all she has to offer.

Tudor Rubato Character Interview
I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Amadeus and Zara Tudor and they were fairly candid in their answers.
JS: This sequel is quite something else - a lot happened. What was your favorite part?
ZT: Elizabeth.
AT: Yep, Elizabeth - hands down.
JS: Oh goodie, you two are going to be keepers of the secrets I can see.
ZT: We can't be spoiling things, now can we.
JS: The two of you relocate to a farm in Scotland, and it's obvious that you like Scotland. Any future plans?
AT: I love Scotland and it's people. For me it's the perfect place for me to recharge and write. We had looked at townhouses in Edinburgh, but decided that they don't have the same feel that a farm does. I guess if I was going to do a city thing in the UK, I'd do it in London. So yeah, we're looking for a farm of our own.
ZT: The weather is a lot like Seattle, so if you've spent any amount of time there, the weather in Scotland is easy to get used to. It is a great place to live and perhaps raise a family.
JS: What do you think is going to send readers into a spin?
AT: Hmmm, well there are a couple of things, but without a doubt the ending. *laughs* It's a doozy, but you set it up so well for the next installment. Everyone's going to walk away from this one thinking they know the answer.
ZT: I can think of one or two. Hard to articulate without spoiling things, but Peter plays a much bigger role here, as well as Amadeus' mother, Grace.
JS: Zara, what's the hardest part of being married to someone in Amadeus' position?
ZT: The hardest part for me is having been his manager and now I'm also his wife - I have to separate the two personas, and Amadeus will tell you I sometimes have to be reminded to do just that. And now when he goes on a full scale tour, it will be a bit harder since I won't be joining him for the entire time. We're used to being a team out there, but one of us has to keep the home fires burning, so I'll do the best I can and we'll do just fine.
JS: Amadeus? Looking forward to getting back out on the road? It's been a while for you now…
AT: I'm chomping at the bit to get out there in front of the fans! Once you've done it as long as I have, it's in your blood. Yes, you can "retire" or walk away, but you never really do. You'll always find something that keeps you connected.
JS: Okay, after this third book - what would either of you like to see, if anything?
ZT: I think a book on Angus and one on Damien. Damien's would be interesting because of all he's gone through himself. He and Amadeus have a sort of "connection" where that's concerned. Angus's book I think would be something to redeem his naughty persona. *giggles* Angus is so misunderstood.
AT: What about one on Zara and her family? I have another idea, but I can't mention it here because it would spoil some things in Rubato. I could see a spin off on it perhaps.

I closed the front door and found Amadeus back in the kitchen helping himself to a huge slice of the blackcurrant pie. He certainly had no problem finding the plates and forks.
“Amadeus! I was going to warm the pasties so we could eat first.”
“But I’m starving.”
“So am I. Put it down. I’ll heat up these pasties so we can eat. Why don’t you open the bottle of wine. And put that pie down!”
“Mmm, okay,” he mumbled as he crammed his mouth full of pie.
I walked over and snatched the plate out of his hand, knowing full well he would eat the entire piece while we waited for the main course. Fortunately for us, the pasties were still fairly warm and I popped them into the microwave for a minute just to make them hot.
I found a corkscrew in a drawer and tossed it to him as I looked for a couple of wine glasses. I took two out of the cabinet and walked them over to him. As I laid them down, the buzzer on the microwave beeped letting me know the pasties were ready. I plated them, grabbed a couple of forks and walked over to the kitchen table situated along a cheerful large window. Amadeus quickly followed and placed a glass next to me as he sat down across the table.
The food was good, and we were both hungrier than we thought. We devoured all four of the pasties before Amadeus was back at his slice of pie. My mind was still spinning with the events of the day. It had been quite a long day for that matter, but I was too keyed up for sleep.
Instead I got up, gathered the dishes and put them in the dishwasher before I walked back over to where Amadeus sat, still at the kitchen table. I began to massage his neck and shoulders.
“How does that feel?”
“God you’ve got good hands. That feels wonderful.”
I knew beneath the table Amadeus was hard as granite, the blood running like lava through his veins, and I knew where this was going if I kept touching him.
I moved his hair to one side and began kissing him against the nape of his neck and smiled as a shudder rippled through him.
“Amadeus,” I cooed softly, “would you like to check out our new bedroom?”
It was all the encouragement he needed. Noisily he shoved back his chair and hauled me into his arms. “Why go all the way upstairs to the bedroom, love?”

Aren't these cute?

Got a lot of writing done this weekend. Guess what, I'm writing a shape shifter romance! Don't know if it will pan out but at least I'm trying a new genre. And again I've been forced to do....research. I've discovered something in the process. I like it!
If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm working on 2 very different projects. I also started a futuristic type romance that takes place after most of the world's population is wiped out by either an alien invasion, or a virus. Can't make up my mind. That's the perks of being a writer, you can change your mind as you go.
The way I write they might end up in my unfinished project file. I have a fairly large one that I visit once in a while with the thought something will jump out at me and say, "Finish me! Finish me!"

Plus Size Models
I recently wrote an erotic romance where the heroine is a plus-size model. When I posted the beautiful book cover of,
A Perfect Fit
I received a lot of compliments. However, a couple comments about the woman on the cover not looking plus-size got me to thinking. So I did some, yes me, research.
The model in my book is a size 16, and weighs 160 pounds. She has some height on her and she's well proportioned. Or carries her weight well, as some would say. I think everyone will agree that if you were to take two plus-size people, give them the same weight but different heights they are going to look very different.
Now, plus-size is in the eye of the beholder. I guess it depends on what you consider to be plus-size. I checked and found the first plus-size model for Ralph Lauren, Robyn Lawley, is a whopping size twelve! She's absolutely beautiful. And she sure doesn't look plus-size to me. But she's considered that in the modeling industry.

I could not put it down and I read the entire book in one sitting. The story and characters were believable and the romance was steamy without being over the top. If you like hunky firefighters and spunky heroines, you will love this book!
