Valhalla Post 38: Editing Quick?
Hello everyone and welcome back! Good news, I did get myself to actually start focusing in on the edits. Speaking of, here's how it's looking.
Book 1 revamp: ~51%
I am making a lot more progress a lot more quickly than before, although that doesn't take much. I am going to try and get it done hopefully by the end of this month or next month, which I'm sure sounds a bit lofty, but I am going to be trying my hardest. Due to that, I probably won't be releasing another post as I try to concentrate on completing that task.
Remember there's nothing wrong with focusing or concentrating on something that you enjoy. Yes, I'm sure there's plenty of trials and tribulations waiting for you or going on in your life. We all have to face them at some point, but if you dwell on them, they will always weigh you down. When that happens, it makes you more tired, more sad, and just overall drained. It's completely okay to set that aside for one singular night, or even one hour. So much in life is centered around your state of mind and the thoughts that rattle around your own head the most. Please, do yourself a favor and think of the things you love and to participate in activities that you enjoy. Those are just as important to helping you accomplish tasks as throwing your entire being into them.
You can do this, I know you can, my Rising Stars.

Valhalla Post 37: End of July, End of Trouble
Hello everyone. I'm sorry it's been a while, but as I said in my last post, July was just an absolute mess of a month for me. Life is finally starting to settle back into the norm and I'm hoping to go back to making decent progress on book stuffs. Of course, the thing everyone wants to know... Did you make any progress in July? Honestly, not really. But here it is!
Book 1 revamp: ~35%
I was hoping to be so much further along all my projects by now, but our hopes and reality don't always meet. On the bright side, I did start to write a little bit of the prologue book 4. (spoiler I guess, there will be a prologue for book 4). I'm hoping that when I'm finally done going through book 1, I'll have a great idea on how I want to continue writing the series. I think I've also mentally decided that book 1 is the only one that I've going to revamp like this. It's a huge process and it's even more difficult for me because it's like the fifth time I've had to read/listen/write that portion of my own story. It's difficult to get through because it feels so much less like experiencing a new story for the first time, which is the type of feeling I get when I first write a chapter, or even a book. The editing I can get through because it's the second time through, but I've just been through my first book too many times, so revamping it is just a slog for me.
Boohoo-ness aside, I am heavily planning on trying to just power through and to also train to run a 5K in October, so stay tuned for news on both fronts.

Valhalla Post 36: Rough Times
Hello everyone. Sorry, but this one is going to be a bit brief.
Book 1 revamping: 33%
It's not the update you want it to be, it's not the update I want it to be, it's not the update that it should be. I mean, let's be honest, everyone wants to hear good news about next books, edits, revamping, etc. etc.. Unfortunately since I got back from vacation, I have been slammed with work and life, and somehow it only sounds like it's going to get more so for the rest of July.
Short version, things are tough and I might not have time to work on book stuff. Terribly sorry everybody, but I'm hoping to make some small progress along the way of dealing with everything else. I cannot give a timeline or timeframe or any updates at this time, but hopefully I will with the next post, which I think I'm going to save until August.
Until then, please take care of yourselves Rising Stars. I'll do my best to keep you updated.

Valhalla Post 34: Revamping
Hello everyone! I know it has been a while since I put out an update. Now that Temperament has been released, I have started on my next step. Which, for me, is re-editing Hero's Beginnings. Only problem with that is that I went from just editing to editing & rewriting certain sections. While the general events are all still the same, how they are worded may now be different.
That said, there is one more thing I would like to add. Due to how long it took for me to put together a cover for Temperament and how long Hero's Beginnings is taking me to revamp, my original "I'll start writing again in June" has quickly arrived (or will in 2 days) and will be changing. My new plan is to start writing again, namely book 4, in July.
While this might be a little disappointing to hear, I am also taking a week of vacation in June and I have been sick the last few days, so in terms of my writing and available time to write, very little is being missed. What's that? An update for HB's revamping? I suppose that is warranted... so here is it!

I'm hoping to draw more readers in with a better read when it comes to the first book and I also have plans of giving HB a face lift by giving it a new/better cover! I guess that makes the first editions of the book more of a collector's copy, or rather that it soon will be. I am going to try and get this editing done as quickly as I can manage, or at least I will once I'm done being sick. In the mean time, take care of yourselves and don't get sick. Valhalla Post 33: IoV Book 3!
Hello everyone! Truth be told, I never realized that post 33 would be about book 3, which is really fun and I wish I could say that I planned it. I'm sorry for the delay but putting together a cover was giving me some trouble, especially since I had difficulty finding something close to my personal vision for the cover. However, with that being said, I have exciting news!
Book 3, aka. Invasion of Valhalla: Temperament, is officially releasing on the 20th! I'm very excited to finally publish the next step in Noir's adventure. With that said though, I would like to speak on that real quick.
Now that Temperament is out, my plan is to go back and generally edit and fix up Hero's Beginnings, which I have already begun to do as of the start of this post. My hope is to bring it more in line with my current writing skill, and then to record the audiobook for it. I don't plan any drastic changes to the story in any way, but I will be combing some chapters in one single one, as well as fixing some of my tenses issues, i.e. going from was to is to when and back again in the same sentence. I know that that is a reoccurring problem of mine and I am working to correct that. First, though, will be the first of my books.
On top of that, I may put off beginning the writing of book 4 until the end of June rather than the start so that I have time for the editing and audio of Hero's Beginnings. I am terribly sorry about that, but bear with me! I am looking forward to writing it as much as you are of me writing it! All in due time. The kindle preorder is available now and the physical books will be available on the 20th! Pick up your copy about a week from now and find out what happens next, my Rising Stars!

Hello everyone! I hope you're excited, because here's the news hopefully everyone has been waiting for!
Book 3 written: 100%

The book is officially looking good to go when it comes to content! I have a couple of small decisions left to make when it comes to a few small parts of the editing, from aside from that it's all good and I can start focusing on the smaller parts of releasing the book. Blurbs, covers, formatting, etc..
However, since I don't have a specific timeframe for any of the above things, I don't have a release date just yet. I can tell you though that it should be less than a month and my next update will be announcing the official release date of book 3, where I will also be announcing what its title is going to be! I hope you all are as excited as I am. Until next time, my Rising Stars!

Valhalla Post 31: Book 3 Editing
hello everyone! Terribly sorry on the silence. I was, very unfortunately, dealing with a bit of a physical ailment. I am doing much better now and I am hoping to power through more of the editing, That said, I have still made some progress!
Book 3 final requirements:
Editing: 85%
Blurb (still needed)
Book Cover (still needed)
I am hoping to having the editing and the blurb done within the next 2 weeks or so, roughly. As for the book cover, I know what I want, but I'm still struggling to decide how I'm going to handle the creation of it. Whether it is making it myself or hiring someone to make it, I just can't decide. This is something I will have to spend some serious time thinking on, but I will do my best to keep everyone updated.

Hello everyone! I have some fantastic news! aaaaand here it is!

I will admit that I finished writing the book a little faster than I originally anticipated, but with that said, I have had a pretty bad lack of editing during all of this time. Sorry about that, but I did want to focus on the writing itself. There is still some of things like the blurb, book cover, and a few other details I need to finish up, but I think the most time consuming of all parts (writing) is done and I'm optimistic that I'll be able to blast through a lot of the editing pretty quickly. Either way, I will keep you all updated!

Valhalla Post 29: Progress and Plans
Hello everyone! I am reporting in more often than I have in a while, but I have been working on the book a lot more than I have had time for in, well, a while. First and foremost, where we are at!
Book 3 written: 88%
Book 3 edited: 72%
I am making good and steady progress. At this current pace, I am hoping to have book 3 written by or before March 20th. However, I am fairly certain that I will have some editing to catch up on. I'm also a little behind on formatting and finding a book cover. Due to that, I am going to tentatively set a release date of late April. So, that is my current plan/hope.
My more comprehensive plan for the series is to write book 3, fix up and reformat and somewhat rewrite book 1 to bring it more inline with the standards I feel like I've set with the other two books, then I am planning on attempting to create the official audiobook of Hero's Beginnings. Now I have never made an audiobook before and it has been a few years since I did any audio editing, and I also doubt I'll have access to the tools I used to use. Part of that might be due to the fact I don't even remember what the name of said tools were. (whoops)
If I had to guess, the audiobook should not take me longer than a month to record and edit since, from my own research into length of books vs their audio copies, it should be roughly 8-9 hours. I will keep everyone updated and I plan to try and release the audiobook in as many places as I can manage. Worst case, I will try to edit and at least occasionally write every few days and start working on book 4 by June! Again, I don't think it will take me a whole month, but I wanted this said as my worst case scenario.
