Back in the saddle

After a busy 2023, which was spent studying for my PGCE, and then some slackness in the first few months of 2024, I'm back in the saddle once more and busy with Book 18.

This follows the adventures of a brand new character, Special Marshal Logan James. He's big, he's bad, and he's kicking ass!

I'm almost 20 000 words in and hoping to get this book finished in the next few weeks.

Celebrate the wins

I'm thrilled to announce that Death On The Mountain has won 1st place in the Western Fiction category of the recent Firebird Book Awards🏆

Thank you to everybody for your support in buying and reading my novels. I'm loving the journey and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm currently working on converting a screenplay into a novel and Gunfight at Hell's Half Acre will be available within the next few weeks...

At last!!!

Book 6 in the Steve Savage, Bounty Hunter series is finally complete after 3 long months.

I'm finally back to writing using two hands and I've done more writing in the last 5 days than I have in the previous 2 months.

The cover looks amazing and I can't wait to get this book on the shelves. I've dedicated it to the memory of my late father-in-law.

Rob, you will be missed and we love you. See you for some hunting one of these days,

Reality bites

It's amazing how things can change in the course of a few hours.

Last night I was celebrating the fact that I'm back in the saddle with regards to my writing and this morning I'm mourning the loss of my father-in-law.

Take time to tell people you love the fact that you love them. Appreciate every moment you have with them, even if it's just sitting in the lounge, drinking coffee, and talking crap.

Progress at last

Hi, everyone

For those of you who know me, you'll know that I was on a drive to write a book per month this year. I was on track for that, with four books written and published from January to April, and then disaster struck!

I injured myself playing rugby back in 2000 and, unknowingly, made the injury worse over the years until the bicep head had been ripped off the bone and the labrum was torn.

To cut a long story short, I had an operation in 2018 to repair everything. End of story? Big NO!

That op was apparently a failure and my shoulder got progressively worse over the years because a screw was left in that shouldn't have been left in. Fast forward to 2022.

I couldn't move my arm properly which affected fishing, shooting, going to gym, sleeping, you name it...
I had another operation and have been out of action for the last 2 months, but now I'm back! (queue inspiring music and a montage of a hero overcoming adversity through hours of rehab. George Lucas, we can negotiate the documentary rights)

I'm pleased to say that I'm back in action and I've managed about 6 000 words over the last 2 days. My 13th book (Book 6 in the Steve Savage, Bounty Hunter series) is almost done and should be released next week. I received a copy of the cover art today and I'm stoked with it. Big tick for A Okay!

I love hearing from people so reach out and contact me if you have questions about my books, suggestions on how to improve them, a useful tip on the next winning lottery numbers, or just to have a chat and say hi.
