TV Movie Of The Week: The King Of Comedy

Each week on the Five Live show we single out the best film on television in the coming week. We never have time to discuss it so I've decided to do it here on the blog. My choice this week is Martin Scorsese's chilling 1983 King Of Comedy

What Is Sinister?

On the Five Live show last Friday I referred to the new horror movie Sinister as a 'found footage film'. This seem to have annoyed some people - was I right or wrong to call it that?

Movie Marathon

This week I saw 9 films in two days. Some people might think that affects your judgement but I don't agree. What is the most number of films you've seen in a compact period of time and do you think it blurred your critical faculties?

Now You See It, Now You Don't

I've just been to see House At The End Of The Street, the new horror film starring Jennifer Lawrence. It wasn't shown to the press before it opened - I wonder why?

3D - Alive Or Dead?

With the news that Guillermo Del Toro's new film Pacific Rim will be released in 3D after all, against the director's better judgement, I ask is 3D alive and well or is it the walking dead?
