Dark Angel Vancouver

Dark Angel Vancouver is a work of fiction.
It was written for all the people who have been victimized by drug dealers and pimps.

Jake Marshall is a successful thief working in Vancouver, who rescues a woman being beaten by a man. This feeling of rescuing prostitutes is so profound that Jake thinks he has found his true calling in life and begins searching for prostitutes that he can rescue.

In the Beginning

Looking at her jewelry in the bedroom, I hear the front door open downstairs. I quickly closed the jewelry box lid, dropped to the floor, and rolled under the bed, pulling my backpack with me.
A pair of red high heels walk by. I say to myself. “I need to find another line of work.” It’s the third time the owner has come home while I am casing a joint. The sweat is beading on my back. I swore to myself that I would never go back to prison again.
I wondered whether she noticed that her security alarm system was off. I hear her dialing her phone, then say, “Did you forget to turn the alarm on when you left the house this morning?” “I found the security alarm off when I got home.” Then I hear, “Ok, I will call the police immediately.”
I sweat harder.
The owner’s feet walked over to the wall the bed was on, and I heard a click, then a series of clicks like a dial on a safe. I hear the safe open and papers shuffled around, with items dropped on the night table. I pray she doesn’t drop anything and bend down to pick it up. Hearing the click of a safe closing, I watched her feet as she walked out of the room and down the stairs.
I heard her say, “I want to report a robbery,” then a click as the front door closed. I spotted this stunning woman at the Ian Tan Art Gallery. This woman was buying a painting. She turned and smiled at me as she walked out the door with her artwork. Tall and slender, with long blond hair cascading down her shoulders. She is wearing a white tank top, dark blue shorts and is drop-dead gorgeous.
