Been a Hot Minute

Hey, all!
It's been a hot minute since I posted anything, so let me bring you up to speed.
1) The Darington Files: Murder on Mulholland is with the editor. Publishing date SHOULD BE November 1, 2025.

2) The cover art for the aforementioned book is done! Another great job by JM Ewing!!!

3) I've been chosen! My boss has asked me to help her plan next year's Local Author Night, so I'm busy doing research and sneaking peeks at other LANs for ideas.

4) Had a four-day weekend and managed to do a major cleanup around the house and yard.

5) I have a website now! It's published, but still under construction, so please be patient. The site is willsonkathrine/wixsite.com/kathrinewillson

6) I'll be in Gallipolis, OH on November 16 at the Bossard Public Library for their FIRST EVER Local Author Fair, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and see me!

Exciting News!!!

So, I have some really exciting news!!! My books will soon be available at the library in Gallipolis, Ohio!!! So, if you want to read them but don't want to spend the money, you can request them through the library.
If you don't live in Ohio and still want to read my books, try asking your local library to get them in for you. (In case you didn't know, that's how libraries build their collection- through patron requests).
I hope you'll consider doing this. It doesn't cost you anything to request the books and you'll be able to read them at your convenience. Plus, it's a bit of free advertising for me!
If there are other authors (especially indie authors like me) whose work you'd like to read, request them from your local library!

Updates

Hey, Gang!
Not much going on in my world. I'm a little over halfway finished with the next manuscript in The Darington Files series. We (the creative team and I) attended the Mid-Ohio Indie Author event in Grove City last Saturday and we've decided it'll be the first BIG event I do next year, so stay tuned for that.
Hard to believe it's the end of summer already. Where did the time go?!? School is about to resume for students across the country. Vacations are drawing to a melancholy close. Moms and dads are running around the stores trying to fill those classroom supply lists.
In other news, I just did an ARC reading (Advanced Reader Copy) for a fellow author, Paige Brooks. Without giving anything away, this book will keep you guessing. I'm not one for suspense/thrillers generally, but this reads almost like a Frieda McFadden, so keep your eyes peeled for 'Hidden in the Walls'.

Blog Post the Fourth

Been awhile since I wrote on here. Lots of things going on in my crazy world. Summer Reading has been hectic, but it's finally winding down. Local Author Night on July 9 was AWESOME!! Lots of new faces, several sales, and I debuted my new release, The Darington Files: Shadow of Suspicion.
Now in the middle of a heat wave, so it's too hot to do anything- including, apparently, writing. I'm a little over halfway through my next manuscript but I've taken a short hiatus due to the heat and being busy.
There's an author event coming up in August in Grove City, Ohio that I'll be attending as a guest (no table this year- I'm scoping out possibilities for next year)
I'm in the process of planning out a website, so stay tuned for that! I'm really excited about all of the possibilities and surprises that will come from it!

Second Blog Post- EVER

Three years ago, I embarked on an unexpected and very enjoyable adventure at the behest of my children: I published my first book. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would sell any copies of it, but it was well received. Here I am three years on and I've written an entire series, 'A Tale from the Darkness', as well as begun a second series entitled, 'The Darington Files', the first book of which is called 'The Price of Power'.

If you're a reader and have read my books, thank you. If you've only read my first book, thank you and please consider taking a chance on the rest of the series (Raising Gustave is a rollercoaster and a cliffhanger, but relatable if you're a parent!)
If you're put off by the whole 'Phantom of the Opera' because you're not into musicals/theater, don't worry. You don't need to be! Just take a chance.

If you're still not feeling it, maybe 'The Price of Power' will be more your thing: Crime fiction with a smidgen of romance thrown in, but nothing smutty.

First Blog. EVER.

Hi, Folks!
I've never done a blog before, so please bear with me as I figure it out.
First, I guess it goes without saying that I'm an author. I've published five books so far- all part of a series based on Phantom of the Opera. It's a very small niche of people, I know, but even if it isn't your thing, I hope you'll give my books a chance.
Second, I'm working on the first book of my next series. It's crime fiction. He's a multimillionaire homicide cop with a reputation with the fair sex. She's the intelligent, hard-to-get mystery he's determined to solve. Crime fiction is a much bigger niche, so I'm hoping these will catch on.
