Billy Quantro is the nom de plume of a Professor Emeritus with over forty years’ experience working with deadly agents of infectious disease, including plague, anthrax, and tularemia. Publications: >150 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, chapters, and abstracts. A career that includes a sabbatical at L’Institut Pasteur in Paris, an Infectious Diseases Endowed Chair, Select Agent studies requiring DOJ security clearance, and BSL-3 biosafety training. Research was funded for 30 years by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) through grants and contracts totaling just over $20 million.
