#3 Mindlinked
Thanks to all the people who've enjoyed (or are currently reading) Gauntlet. That was a heavy story to write, a lot of difficult emotions going on in that one. Although it's 'just' a story, the feelings have to be dredged up from within myself to be able to convey them convincingly.
I've been working hard on Mindlinked. I'm excited about this story and the ending is dynamite and satisfying and it sets a clear path to book #4 tentatively titled Kill Switch, which sees Joshua and his friends heading off in an unexpected direction on a new adventure.
Speaking of endings. I cannot start serious work on a book until I know how it ends. I need that goalpost. Once I have the beginning and the end, the middle writes itself (almost).
Expect Mindlinked out in the Fall.

Gauntlet
The second book in The Sommerfeld Experiment is doing fantastic. My page reads and downloads are exceeding my expectations. For an unknown author, this is incredibly gratifying. I write to tell a story to myself and that other people enjoy it too is icing on the cake. It's very motivating.
Currently, I'm working on The Sommerfeld Experiment #3: Mindlinked that continues the story of Joshua, Shelby and Kevin. New and important characters will join the trio. I'm working on a short story "Mindwiped" that's an introduction to Nizhoni, introduced briefly at the beginning or Zero-Day, and Kill Nine, the whitehat hacker gang (or blackhat depending upon point of view).
Also in the works is a short story revolving around Kevin and his adventures in a Tinfoil Hat Town. He mentioned it briefly to Joshua and Safia in Zero-Day.
All these short stories will be on my website. I already posted a short story explaining how Shelby came to be in the Epitaph gang.
Cheers and happy reading until next time.

My day as a writer
So what is it like to be a full-time writer?
It takes a lot of adulting and sometimes I'm not so good at adulting. It helps to set timers on my phone otherwise I get distracted. I think adulting is a challenge for most people. I know some people who do it very well, but not many.
My morning starts at 7:30am. Coffee first, spend an hour on social media talking to fans and other writers and working on promotions and ads.
Write 9am to 12:30 pm. Lunch. write 1:00pm to 7:30.
I love writing, but if it's a career path you want to try out, view it as your job and create a schedule for yourself.
