Cover Reveal: Shattered Redemption

Today is the cover reveal for the final novel (but not the final book) in The Shattered Lands series.

About the Book

One last mission. One final battle.

SR4 is a Rapunzel retelling with a twist. You can find the book on Goodreads here and available for preorder here. With the exception of the prequel, the TSL series must be read in order.

There’s one book, a novella, left in the series after SR4. Any guess about which character it will be about?

Ten Things Every Indie Writer Needs

Writing is a fantastical endeavor, but it’s not as easy as typing and then having your manuscript being magically ready for publication. Below are ten things I believe every indie writer needs.

A Publisher Name

My library refuses to purchase most independently-published books.

It makes me infuriated because the majority of books I both read and want to read are indie. This brings up the question of, “What is a publisher name?”

If you’ve heard of Bethany House or Barbour Publishin...

A Writer’s Guide to Book Lengths

When I first began writing in 2015, I thought there were three different classified book lengths: short story, novella, and novel. Turns out those aren’t the only categories your book can fall into. Depending upon your story’s length, there are six different word count divisions. Before we dive in, do keep in mind that the listed word counts are general: I’ve seen different answers from different sites, where the answers vary from a few hundred to a few thousand.

Some categories do overla...

He is Risen

On Good Friday, we were reminded of Christ’s sacrifice, which came in the form of the worst type of death known to mankind at that time.

Somber, mourning, and still. That’s how I always feel on Good Fridays. But that doesn’t stay. Instead, it is replaced with gratitude, awe, and wonder.

For the grave was not the end. If it had, we would still be without hope. Christ’s resurrection has defeated death and offered a way for lost souls to reconcile with God.

He’s not still in the tomb, my friends. ...
