A Tolkien Fan's Thoughts on "The Rings of Power's Galadriel"

Released on September 2nd, 2022, Prime Video's "Rings of Power" is a television show inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth. It is set thousands of years before the Twenty Rings of Power were forged, and, more notably, one of its main characters is the elf Galadriel.

The show's portrayal of Galadriel has left fans divided. Some enjoy her character and the actress's depiction of it, while others thought it was badly written and ill-conceived.

What do you think?

As a Tolkien fan myself, I decide to address it in the blog post below:

Monster: A Short Story

Hi, everyone! I have now published another short story. Like my previous one, Live Well, this story belongs into the horror/thriller genre, and it is somewhat open-ended. It is not written in three-sentence increments like Live Well, so the narrative should flow a bit more. Still, feel free to give feedback on this! Horror is normally not my genre (which is why I only write short stories instead of entire books about it).

You can read my story in my blog here:

My Struggles with Faith

Martin Luther King once said, "Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase."

But what if we really want to see the entire staircase? What, exactly, is so special about faith?

Lately, I have been struggling with my religion. It gets harder and harder to call myself a "Christian." Faith just feels so meaningless.

Today, I decided to confront these struggles by openly discussing them in this blog post. What exactly makes me struggle in the first place?

Learn about these struggles in the link below:

I hope you all, Christians and non-Christians alike, enjoy this! Happy reading!

Weird Things about Myself

Everyone is a little weird. Even the most rational minds and disciplined individuals come out with some of the oddest eccentricities.

As an author, I have previously written about 25 of my Weird Bookish Habits back in the middle of 2022, but now that I have begun posting more in this blog, I decided to make things a little more personal: extend the weirdness not just to books, but to myself. This was why I created this blog post.

Check out the link below to read 21 weird things about myself!

Obscurity for the Outsider

Originally written for a school project, Obscurity for the Outsider was a "song" I recorded inspired by Neil Gaiman's The Ocean at the End of the Lane! Please note that this song is nothing fancy and was not professionally recorded: I have never been formally educated in audio production, and I merely used a simple voice changer and online recorder to create this song---there are no instrumentals. That said, feel free to listen to this song!

The audio recording of the song is posted in the link below. I have also copied/pasted all the lyrics so that you can follow along with them as you listen to the recording, and I added my explanation and interpretation of the song at the bottom of my blog post. Happy reading! View my blog post here:

"Live Well:" A Short Story

Hello everyone! Exciting news: I just published my first "horror" story! It's not published as a book, since it only takes about five minutes to read, but it is now available on my website for all of you to see! 😁😁

This "story" is written in increments of three sentences, all of which comprise a longer, more cohesive narrative. Please note that I normally do not write horror, so you may or may not find this story very horrifying.

You can read my story here:

Website Updates!!!

Hi, everyone!

So, I have FINALLY plucked up enough willpower to switch from Wix ADI to Wix Editor and have now updated my web design to (hopefully) improve users' site experience.

Here are some of the changes I have made to my website:

Navigation: While the blog posts and content have not undergone too many significant changes, I have now taken advantage of Wix Editor's drag-and-drop capabilities to add multiple different buttons to help visitors better navigate my site. On my website's Home page, you will see a section labelled "My Work," which contains three buttons: a button for my books, a button for my blog, and a button for my media and contacts. The first and third buttons will direct you to a new page on my website, so you would not have to scroll through a list of blog posts just to find book and contact info. You can also return to the home page by selecting the "Return Home" button on each of these pages. The blog button just automatically scrolls down to the bottom of the page, where my blog posts are introduced.

Media and Contact: Before I updated my website, I did not add any media/contact information to my website. 🙄🙄🙄
As you already know, I added a new button that will redirect you to all my media and contact info. This information includes my Goodreads profile and some ways users can contact or interact with me (i.e. "Ask the Author," groups, book reviews, etc.) There is also a button that will redirect you to my actual GR profile!

Other changes: I made a couple of minor changes to my "Nice to Meet You" section; the same ideas are conveyed, but some very minor changes in wording were made, just for the sake of clarity. I also removed an unnecessary category from my website; no blog posts were removed or dramatically altered, though. Essentially, it's a new look, same content!

That's it!

I thank fellow members of the Author Marketing Group for giving me some of this advice. The advice inspired a lot of these changes.

Feel free to give me any feedback on this website. My web design skills are still very rudimentary, and I had only used Wix Editor just yesterday. Anyone more experienced with Wix and web design in general can give me any necessary feedback. :)

Cellular Respiration: Cycles in a Cycle

Hello, everyone!

The link below will direct you to an infographic presentation explaining why I believe cellular respiration and survival is essentially like a cycle of cycles. This was originally just a project for my Biology teacher, but I decided to post this work online for you all of you to view it. Enjoy!

Unity in a Kaleidoscope: A Geometric Artwork

Hello, everyone!

A few weeks ago, I decided to do a "bonus" art project for my math class. Essentially, this project was a piece of artwork inspired by basic coordinate geometry, such as rigid transformation, circle equations, etc. It's not super advanced or anything, but I decided it might just be a fun little project to show you guys. I explain the mathematics and thought process behind the creation of this project in the blog post below:

Huntington's Disease

Hi, everyone!

A few weeks ago, I submitted a presentation for school about a genetic disorder of my choice: Huntington's Disease.

I found the research interesting, as a science enthusiast, but I also found the disease quite harrowing, given the symptoms that arise as well as the present ambiguity about the protein that ends up being affected by the mutated gene. I decided it would be nice to raise more awareness about it, so I inserted the slides from the presentation in this blog post:

Enjoy and thanks for reading!
