New Book and giveaway

My latest release Milicianas, Soldaderas, Petroleuses and the Yellow Mimosa: A Brief History of Female Revolutionaries has been published on the Kindle store, and to celebrate it is available for free from now until the weekend.

I started writing this project a few years ago when I first discovered the manosphere, MRAs/Incels/Pick up artists etc. For about five months it seemed like everywhere I turned I would see an worryingly popular internet personality pushing misogynistic nonsense.

But what got under my skin was that I noticed that many of them were using the same talking point as a sort of ice breaker "women don't pull there wait in military service" or some variation of it. It was also depressing to see this line crop up in supposedly left wing spaces, as part of that "I'm not a feminist, I'm an eqaulist" stuff.

Fortunately I haven't seen that dreck in awhile, but just incase its still bubbling under the surface I decided to finish my project instead of just leaving it to languish. Its not a definitive work, like the subtitle says I see this as serving as a short and accessible introduction for the genuinely ignorant, and a quick way to rebut arguments when they appear.

Please check it out if any of this frustrates/interests you.
