If you have a story, tell it
I appeared on the Eponymous Podcast and asked what my advice to aspiring writers is.
Writing is hard. It's the practice of tearing apart sensitive parts and piecing them back together. Writing is thankless. It's an undertaking that requires immense patience and guarantees no reward.
In times like these, art is one of the only avenues of escape. It's really the only way to rebuild what's been lost and to translate what's been misunderstood. That's why it's so vitally important to tell your story. Don't let arbitrary limitations keep you from putting your writing out there.
There's a lot of advice out there about how to write. I think there's a small contingent that harps on being precise and "correct." Adhering to word counts for their own sake can strangle the creative process.
I implore everyone with a story to get it out. Write it down. Don't worry about punctuation or word length. Simply get it down and show it to someone. It matters.

Another Author Interview
Thank you everyone for your support thus far. I had the great fortune of sitting down for another author interview. This time, from the illustrious Kelly Schuknecht.

She asked me some very thoughtful questions. I hope my answers prove at least half as thoughtful.
Here's a preview:
What are common traps for aspiring writers?
For me, it’s up to two things. Trying to fit your writing to what’s popular when “what’s popular” really isn’t one cohesive theme or something that’s easily repeatable. The other extreme is trying to reinvent the wheel. For me personally, it was overthinking. Sometimes you just have to put pen to paper and get it out there.

Please like, share, comment, adapt into a screenplay, and share again.
