Update about one of my novella-ish stories

Hi, all--

One of my novella-ish stories, "Some Kind of River," will appear on Kindle in the near-ish futures, courtesy of yers truly. The rights recently reverted to me, and I'm working on getting it ready.

A few more details here.

Read on, yo.

music

Hey, posted over at my other blog about this awesome article in Rolling Stone that has some rock n' roll types talking about their fave tunes in particular genres/types. I write to music, so I love stuff like this.

Check it.

I'm finally getting a chance to get caught up on my book reading, too. More on that in a few.

Stay real, yo.

Happy Halloween!

Or Samhain or Día(s) de los Muertos. Whatever you commemorate, hope it's groovy.

Catch my thoughts on all that over at Women and Words

HERE.

And don't forget. Tonight is episode 3 of "Walking Dead," season 2.

Sweet.

Shoot. Missed the apocalypse. AGAIN.

Yeah, so today was supposed to be the end of the world (again), according to Mr. Harold Camping. You remember him, right? The guy who told us that May 21 would be the Rapture and then there would be 5 months of utter heinous-ness and then October 21 would be THE END.

Well, of course, May 21 came and went, leaving a lot of confused people in its wake, and a lot of broke people and people who had quit their jobs to spread the word. Nope. Not making that up. Google it. Anyway, Mr. Camping had a stroke soon thereafter, but he did say that May 21 was apparently a "spiritual rapture." A couple weeks ago, he was still all about the October 21 day as the end. If I recall correctly, it was supposed to start with a massive earthquake and then chaos or some such.

Well, anyway. Kind of a bummer for Camping. He's like the guy who invites people over for parties and nobody shows. I think I might take that as a sign and maybe start looking for Jesus in tortillas or something. At least those he can put on eBay.

Walking Dead, Season 2!

It premieres tonight on AMC. Don't know what that's about or if you do, you have no clue why I'd be pimping such a show?

Ta-DA!

A random thing I am compelled to share

Okay, so I've been futzing around over here on Goodreads, putting some stuff on the virtual bookshelves and alla that, and I set out on a quest to friend people. That is, people I'm already friends with on other social networking sites. So I type in a few names on the ol' friend search and what do I get? NADA. NOTHING. NOBODY. ???

I think everyone over here is incognito. I'm quite sure that's what's happening. All flying under the radar, wearing Blues Brothers suits and dark glasses like the Men in Black going only by initials.

Another random thing I must share: Season 2 of AMC's Walking Dead is tomorrow (Oct. 16, 2011) evening. And now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Howdy!

I guess it's sort of lame to tell you all that I'm on Goodreads now, right? Yeah, I thought so.

Well, I'm also on Kindlegraph, so if you wanna check that out and you're into that whole digital signature thing, all my solo books are there.

I also blog at "The Situation Room," which is at my main website. You can also find me blogging at Women and Words.

And yes, I'm on Facebook as, cryptically, Andi Marquette. Twitter? Sure: @andimarquette

Okee dokee. There you go. I'm now going to poke around and get this thing up and running. Thanks for coming by and happy reading.
