Six Sentence Sunday

How about another snippet this week from my bestselling historical erotic romance Redemption!

On the run from a murderous uncle, Katie Beaumont married outlaw Ben Cready the day before he was supposed to hang. They shared one night of explosive passion and for six months, she'd believed herself a widow. Now Ben is back to claim what's his, and that includes the sweet bride he'd never been able to forget.

As if following her trail of arousal, Ben moved his hand out from the collar of her nightgown and moved it to her thigh. Katie’s core throbbed and clutched desperately at the feel of his hand moving higher on her leg and pushing the nightgown up. Slipping inside her underclothes, his fingers met bare, wet skin. She bit her lip so hard she almost broke the skin. Katie heard him groan behind her when he delved a finger into her pussy.
“Remembered you like this,” Ben whispered n her ear, which made her jump with the realization that he was now fully awake.

Katie had lain there, staring up at the wooden beams above and closed her eyes while letting his warm, musky scent transport her back to the night before when he’d moved over her, had done things to her that had made her body greedy, open, wet, and had made her want things she had no understanding of.
And oh, he’d given. He’d given hard and deep, had plunged his cock into her again and again, but she could feel the restraint there in his muscles, saw it in his face. He had held back, for her. It made Katie want it all the more. Want him.

His mouth quirked upward. “Honey, I’ve replayed that night in my head so many times. It’s what kept me from going fuckin’ mad, remembering. But even though I’m hard as a rock right now, I ain’t got the energy to fuck a goat.”
He turned away from her but stopped before he passed through the kitchen toward the pantry and turned back. “I suppose it’s best to get used to having each other around first.”

Since I'm wrapping up my current wip Wanted, which is a historical erotic romance featuring a delicious cowboy hero, I figured I'd switch things up this month and offer you little peeks at my other yummy cowboy hero, Ben Cready in Redemption while we wait!

He turned toward the pot over the fire. Crouching, he took a long, deep breath and inhaled the aroma, and Katie could only guess how hungry he must be.

“Uh . . . Mister—”

He turned back to her, and again, there was that cold half smile. “I believe the last time we talked I asked you to call me Ben.”

Katie’s cheeks flushed at the reminder. The last time he’d made the request he’d been inside of her.

“It’s not just about the pardon. No, you’re right about that. It’s about Kyle, and it’s about all the other innocents who’ve been caught in the crossfire of this life. It took knowing they had you for me to realize I couldn’t live that life anymore. How this all plays out will tell if I deserve to get out or not, but if I wind up with a bullet in my head, at least you’ll know I tried to make things right in the end.” He kissed her hands and stood up.

Her smile faded, and she bit her lip and sat back in her seat. “So you’re actually doing this? I mean, I know Jake Moroni and his men, but obviously not better than you. They’re going to come after you for this, aren’t they? Ryan…if…” She shivered and closed her eyes. “You put a target on your back tonight, didn’t you?”

He knew it was childish, but he didn’t feel like giving in to Claire’s wishes after she had shot him down so coldly. It was spite, pure and simple, but Ryan was too angry to care. He’d bared himself to her, and she had taken his heart and crushed it in her hands.
Christ, Wyatt, but you really are a fucking moron. Ten years of building a hard shell around his heart, letting no woman in, and with one look into those big brown eyes, it was like he was a seventeen-year-old kid again. He had held her in his dirty, worthless hands, and in that trailer park he’d felt like a king, like he was blessed simply by virtue of touching such a pure, beautiful creature.

Julie held her breath, watching him silently for a second. Josh stood in front of the large canvas, bared to the waist and clad in blue jeans that fit him well, cupping the firm ass she knew so well. His assistant had let her in. He informed her that no, Josh hadn't left yet.He hadn't heard her come in, so lost in his artwork. There was a smudge of white paint along the back of his neck where he had rubbed it without thinking. Julie took a step forward, her red heel clicking on the wood floor. Now he heard her. His long, muscled body stiffened and Julie's mouth went dry."I came back." The words came out choked and she saw him flinch. He turned. Julie didn't breathe, held pinned in place by the heat in blue eyes. His eyes held hers and the passion in them weakened her knees so that she had to look around for something to grip.Josh gave himself. In three long strides he was in front of her, gripping her arms and Julie sagged against him, secure in the knowledge he wouldn't let her fall. Her vision blurred as tears filled her eyes."For good now? You're choosing me? You're sure?" He shook her gently with each question.Julie nodded. His mouth caught hers, hot and rough. Her senses spun. The world around her exploded in bliss. Oh yes, she was sure. This was home.

Just leave a comment and you'll be entered to win a copy of The Arrangement! Then make sure to check out all the other awesome Rebel authors for their snippets based on the above pic! Happy reading! http://www.rebelinkpress.com/RebelReasoning/

A marked lack of a sex life had made being on the pill unnecessary, and the few times since Ryan that she’d actually had sex, condoms were nonnegotiable. She squeezed her eyes shut and flopped back down on the bed. The few times since Ryan had left a less-than-stellar impression on her. She hated to admit that it was because she compared every man to the boy she had loved and they always came up wanting.
Now, having had him back inside of her for those few hot, desperate minutes had been like being given a taste of long-denied heaven and rekindling the flame of lust deep within her until, even in her shame, she was craving him again.
Damn him.
