Running in Israel

Update on Airport Fiasco with Malfunctioning Plane
UPDATE: After two days in transit with only naps on planes and waiting rooms, we've finally arrived in Israel. Now to bed!
EARLIER: We stated earlier we would be positive and have fun with this seeming nightmare. Wed rejoice and trust God, seeing what he'd do next.
Well some of the passengers have been saying, "I think I've died and gone to heaven!"
They took us all off the plane and shuttled us to the 5-star Intercontinental Hotel to stay until the plane is fixed. I'm convinced we won't leave until tomorrow morning.
They are providing the hotel and meals free. Look at the restaurant below with exquisite food, all you can eat. It is quite remarkable.

Stuck in Airport
Great fun today! Got up at 2:00 AM to leave for the Bombay Airport. Our Royal Jordanian flight was scheduled to leave at 5:50 AM for Amman Jordan, then after a layover to Tel Aviv Israel.
But things don't always work as planned. We taxied to the runway and the plane wouldn't start so back to the gate. The waited for a part and five hours later, stuck on the plane, we headed back to the runway only to find the plane still malfunctioned.
After 6 hours we finally got off the hot plane with mosquitos and they took us to a hotel. So, here we sit happily waiting to find out when they get it repaired so we can be on our way. It is noon here now and my guess is we will leave tomorrow morning around 6:00 AM.

We are enjoying the adventure watching to see what God will do next :-). Hopefully we'll be in Jerusalem before too long.

From Cocaine to Catholic
Rob Grassley wrote his conversion story and posted it here. It was very popular. Now he wrote a letter to a friend explaining in simple terms why he became Catholic — and why they should to. You might enjoy this short defense of the faith written in a kindly way to a good friend.

I woke up thinking about one of our conversations last night. Which I had a blast doing by the way. I wanted to say that even though my research has lead me to the Catholic Church, I by no means think that there aren't people living the Christian life better than a lot of Catholics. Maybe even most Catholics.
You guys are an example of that, as I'm sure a good portion of your church is. My whole thing is purely factual. I, if you didn't notice, have a serious case of OCD.
I have to know all that can be known about something before I can believe it (Thomas). I had to research to see if Jesus started a Church, if so, what did it look like, and is it still around today.

Eucharistic Miracles Website
Interesting site with articles on the Eucharist and the Real Presence, a catalog of Eucharistic miracles and more. It is a wealth of information — especially as we approach Corpus Christi Sunday.
I knew nothing of this as a Protestant and find it absolutely intriguing now. I am so glad to be a Catholic and to understand the Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!
Referring to Eucharistic Miracles, Janet and I have been to Orvieto and Lanciano in Italy. Incredible!
