The Daily Mail in the UK gives Season Of Darkness a big thumbs up

Against a backdrop of fear and prejudice, Tyler teams up with an Austrian criminologist to reveal a pattern of deceit and treachery that soon encroaches on his personal life.

Images of the home front stand out vividly in a story that enriches mystery with a flavour of the times.  As one of our best writers of nostalgic crime, Maureen Jennings has made of Tyler a complex and endearing character.  He must surely be with us for a lengthy run of wartime adventures.”
