Maureen to attend Crimefest in Bristol - May 15-18

Maureen will be on three separate panels for the festival culminating in the UK Alibi TV sponsored event which at this point may have a member of the Murdoch Mysteries cast as well in attendance. That will be confirmed in April. Here is the link to the schedule of events. Maureen’s appearances are on Thursday the 15th and Saturday the 17th.

While Bomb Girls did not win for Best Dramatic Series, there was a great celebration of not only Bomb Girls, but Murdoch Mysteries too and the exciting time for Maureen’s work in Canadian Television. Stay tuned, 2014 has some amazing surprises in store .

Titan Books picks up Tyler’s 4 and 5

A deal was made today with Maureen’s UK publisher for the next two books in the Tom Tyler series. No Know Grave, the third book in the Tyler series set during ww2 in Shropshire, will be published this coming Fall in the US, Canada, and the UK.

Mcclelland & Stewart/Random House to publish two more Tyler books

Today, Maureen and her publisher agreed on a deal that will see DCI Tom Tyler, appear in  book numbers 4 & 5 in the series set in Shropshire UK during WW2. The first two books in the series, Season Of Darkness and Beware This Boy have both received critical acclaim in the UK and North America. The third book in the series, No Known Grave, will be published later in 2014. Maureen is thrilled to see Tyler live on for two more novels. Originally projected as trilogy, she felt there were more stories to be told for DCI Tyler. Stay tuned for more updates.

Bomb Girls nominated for the second year in a row for “Best Dramatic TV series”


The story idea for the series was inspired from the research Maureen did for Beware This Boy. The Canadian Screen Awards just announced that Bomb Girls received 6 nominations!:




*Best Dramatic Series

*Best Photography in a Dramatic Program or Series - Eric Cayla

*Best Costume Design – Debra Hanson

*Best Achievement in Makeup - Eva Coudouloux, Katerina Chovanec

*Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role – Meg Tilly

*Best Achievement in Casting – Lisa Parasyn, Jon Comerford
