Cabrillo National Monument: the Perfect San Diego Afternoon

San Diego, California is such a popular west coast destination.  We all love to head to SoCal for the nearly guaranteed sunshine and beaches where you can actually swim.  And the coastal vibe is so different, with bare feet everywhere and flowers blooming on the bluffs year round.  Cabrillo National Monument is a great place to experience that great SoCal feeling.

Cabrillo National Monument is part of the National Parks system and it’s perfectly located for an awesome afternoon during a San D...

Disneyland vs Magic Kingdom: Which Is the Best Disney Park

Disneyland vs Magic Kingdom: n our household it’s a bit controversial… We love visiting the Disney Parks with our kids, and after doing Disneyland no fewer than five times with the boys and having visited Walt Disney World a few times, we have educated opinions. Now after a few trips, we enjoy both, but do have a favorite between the Florida and California parks....

UPDATED Jan 2022- Visiting Disney World During COVID-19

2020 was been a stressful year for everybody. 2021 added to that and we saw the world basically give up on caring about each other. We saw our travel schedule become completely zero and even getting to spend time with family and friends became almost nothing. But that means we spend a lot of time together as a family in close quarters. Since moving to Florida, one of the things that we were looking forward to was spending more time in Disney World.

This has been updated as of January 2022. Ve...

We’ve gotten to stay at Walt Disney World several times and have really fallen in love with a few of the resorts, particularly Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. What a beautiful and unique place! Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Awesome and Trendy Hotel At Magic Kingdom

Before we stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for the first time I thought it was such a strange looking place and was not interested in it… but I quickly learned how awesome it is! Between the Incredibles theme (as of 2021) and the phenomenal views, the Contemporary is worth booking.

Since sharing more and more of our kayaking adventures, we’ve gotten lots of questions about the best kayaking gear for beginners. Favorite Things to Do in Savannah in Any Season

There are a few places in the USA that captured our hearts from day 1, and Savannah, Georgia is one of them. There are lots of things to do in Savannah that are free or inexpensive, and so many beautiful sights that you’ll fall in love with the city too. It’s extremely walkable, and being in the Southeast, has pretty awesome weather year-round.

So what should you plan for things to do in Savannah? Plan on enjoying history and architecture, plan on walking a fair amount, and of course, plan on...
