An asset to President Ann Kinji in the past, Serena is snatched in Germany and brought back to the United States for a covert mission run by former government agents. Realizing that her participation is not entirely voluntary, she is desperate to complete the mission so that she can be reunited with her family. As the case draws her ever closer to the conspiracy to kill the president, she reaches out to the criminally insane for help, sinking deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole where the bodies are piling up and nothing is as it seems.

Happy Birthday to Me & Free Book
Happy Birthday to me, "I have arrived". I wanted to spend today... like a regular day. I'm not letting a pesky birthday throw off my groove! Yesterday I created a video for my husband's first Kickstarter project. Later I was hanging with my family around town, then relaxing in front of the TV. Life feels good: a balance of creative productive work that connects me socially, and play that keeps me close to the home team.
Are there dark clouds? Yep. Had two whopper bills come up, both unexpected -- in addition, oldest daughter needs 4 wisdom teeth pulled - and one is attached to bone so it will be a more complicated extraction -- while youngest daughter has severe underbite and needs immediate ortho. As for myself, I had a cracked molar and had to get that fixed. It was quite an ordeal and I ended up chewing up the inside of my mouth and couldn't really enjoy dinner because the numbing agent was strong enough to last for five hours! These are minor problems, but larger ones persist as well. Life will never be free from trouble.
The goal is to be content "unconditionally", just as love is unconditional. I know that true inner happiness is mine when I choose to spend my birthday doing exactly what I'd be doing on an ordinary Saturday. :-)
