Carrier Nimitz passing by

The Nimitz came through this morning. It's unusual to see so many aircraft aboard. Here's a close shot. More images here: http://susanwiggs.posterous.com/uss-nimitz

Enjoy the day!

in the jungle, the mighty jungle…

An observant friend spotted THE LIGHTKEEPER in the wilds of Central America. Enjoy the vacation photos! Cindy writes, "Here are a few pictures from Costa Rica. We found your book at Cerro Lodge close to Tarcoles on the Pacific Coast. Beautiful hummingbirds, parrots and even scarlet macaws all around us."

it's not easy being green

Each year at St Patrick's Day, I am green challenged. I like the color. We live on one of the greenest corners of the earth. One of my favorite books of all time is Green Darkness by Anya Seton. The Chopper Pilot's Secretive Mistress (and other minty-fresh titles)

Ever wonder why Harlequin titles are riddled with cowboys and billionaires and billionaire Greek cowboy daddies?

Evolutionary psychologists explain why in this article — it's all about Darwinian mating instincts. "…they portray the embodiment of female desires, evolved over centuries." That's the verdict after a study of 15,000 Harlequin romance novels.

You mean it took 15,000 freakin' novels to figure this out??? "…mating instincts, developed over thousands of years, mean that women want a...
