LOCAL AUTHORS THROW HOLIDAY BOOK SIGNING CELEBRATION
Seattle7Writers presents its first annual Holiday Book Signing Celebration on Saturday, November 20th, 3:00-6:00 pm at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Avenue North on Phinney Ridge.
Come meet the Northwests most beloved authors including Garth Stein, Stephanie Kallos, Jim Lynch, Erica Bauermeister, Erik Larsen, Carol Cassella, Kevin O'Brien, Jennie Shortridge, Elizabeth George, Randy Sue Coburn, Kit Bakke, Maria Dahvana Headley, Bob Dugoni, Sean Beaudoin, Kathleen Alcala, Suzanne Selfors and Susan Wiggs.
These authors books will be available for purchase from Santoros Books, and all authors on hand to sign and personalize them for holiday gifts. Also on hand: fresh baked cookies by Seattle7Writers members, and author readings every half hour. Proceeds from each purchase support Writers in the Schools (WITS) and the Phinney Neighborhood Association.
Seattle7Writers began in 2006, when two Northwest authors, Garth Stein and Jennie Shortridge, got together over coffee to talk shop. Over the next two years, the group expanded and they realized their collective energies could be used not only to promote their own books but to energize their reading communities. They pledged to undertake several community outreach initiatives including pocket libraries in unconventional places, and events designed to support independent bookstores and raise money for literacy and writing programs. Now with 29 authors, Seattle7Writers encourages and promotes Northwest literature with the rallying cry of "Read Local."

what book of yours can you recommend to teens who are into romance? :)
The Book Thief by …. I'm blanking on the author's name. Zusak? Also, anything by Suzanne Selfors, including SAVING JULIET, COFFEEHOUSE GIRL and MAD LOVE.

What inspired you to write?
I have this urgent need to tell stories. No idea where it came from. I think it's my hard wiring. I came from a great family that believed books and stories are important, so that's a plus.

I'm 15, and I love writing. I am currently writing a book – its fictional – about a 16 year old girl who gets kidnapped and taken to a city. I have a title, theme, plot, and all of that. I even know what's happening in the other two boks – but how do
Your question got cut off in mid-sentence. I think you're asking how do you keep going to the end. Is that correct? If so, there is a simple answer–work every day. Sounds boring but that's how it gets done. Sometimes you only have a few minutes, but you can use that time to write a paragraph. The building blocks of novels Have fun@
