So my friend and I checked out an estate sale and I found a couple of treasures. Would you please check out these vintage carafes? One is Corning, the other Douglas. They look good in my vintage house. And these cookies are crazy delicious. You can get some at the Apt 2B Baking Company web site. The Earl Grey shortbread just meeeellllts in your mouth.

I bet you think this is writer's cramp.
It's not. It's a pool table injury. I should stay away from that hazardous sport. Hurts like a muh-thuh. And yes, I am left-handed. Thank you for asking.

This is probably TMI but I just want to say, if you find yourself in the shower without your reading glasses, double-check the label on the conditioner bottle. It might just be dog coat conditioner. At least it's the expensive kind your grand-dog uses. WOOF!
…Does it make you suspicious that my back is to the camera? Maybe to hide…some new facial features, like a black button nose…?

pear and ginger tart
This is as yummy as it looks and ridiculously easy. You can blame my friend Suz. She has this recipe you can adapt to any fruit or flavoring. All you need is a little imagination and a spring-form or tart pan. If you do not have either of these, fie on you. Your life is not complete. I customized the recipe by placing pear slices in the bottom of the pan. After baking, brush the hot cake with ginger preserves, warmed in the microwave. Voila!
So print the recipe. You probably have all the ingredients on hand right now.
