A FEW ODDS ‘N ENDS... AND A TEASE OR TWO.

It’s been a rather productive, busy weekend. Here’s a few items I posted on social media that I wanted to share here as well. Please feel free to follow me on social media at Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and Instagram.

I took the writing out into the great outdoors today. Beautiful weather. I love it.

Here's a Snow Storm tease. How are Snow Storm and Domino Lady "Money Shot" connected? There's a clue in this photo for those familiar with my stories.

Here's another tease from today's writing. Working on a comic script featuring a certain pulp heroine. Hmmm... I wonder what's going on here.

Taking a break from writing to catch up on Star Wars Rebels on demand. Cool show.

Have a great week.Look for a new installment of Sometimes I Get Asked Stuff... this week.

SHE’S THE MONEY. EVERY PENNY’S WORTH.
Or, BEHIND THE SCENES OF DOMINO LADY "MONEY SHOT"

It’s no secret that I love writing this character.

Art: Uwe JarlingThe Domino Lady is such a wonderfully complex character and I have a blast every time I get to pen her adventures. I’ve also been very fortunate to work with Joe Gentile and his team over at Moonstone Books. I still remember the day I received an email from Joe that asked if I had any interest in writing a political thriller starring Domino Lady. I was hooked.

This novel has also teamed me up once again with the ever-amazing Nancy Holder, herself no stranger to the Domino Lady’s exploits. Nancy not only graciously agreed to edit this novel, but also invited me along on Domino Lady’s next adventures, which should be winging their way into comic shops in 2015. Keep watching this space for more on that when I can share it. It’s going to be fun stuff.

And then there’s that cover. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe the gorgeous art of Douglas Klauba. It’s a thrill to have Doug’s art grace the cover. Domino Lady has never looked sexier.

It is a great thrill to share this book with the late, great Howard Hopkins. Not only was Howard a fantastic storyteller, but he was a great friend who left us way too soon and I am honored to have his Golden Amazon story in this volume.

My Domino Lady adventure has been a wild one and this novel allowed me to play off a story thread that began in the original Domino Lady stories and I have continued to drop into the background of the other Domino Lady tales I’ve told. You’d think I had it all planned out from the beginning, huh?

So, what are you waiting on? Get out there and grab your very own copy of Domino Lady “Money Shot” direct from Moonstone Books here. The novel will be winging its way soon to comic shops, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and everywhere your favorite books are sold. Keep watching this space for links as soon as I have them.

I hope you enjoy Domino Lady’s journey into the thrilling world of politics, intrigue, and murder in 1930’s Hollywood. It’s been a helluva ride getting here. Now, if you’ll pardon me, I’ve got a date with a domino-masked crimefighter and you’ve got some reading to do.

THE FIRST WORDS OUT OF HER MOUTH... WERE A LIE.

New ad I created to showcase my story, The Case of The Wayward Brother. Vol. 1 art: Rob MoranWith the second volume of stories featuring pulpy p.i. Rick Ruby on the way, I worked up a new banner ad this morning for The Ruby Files Vol. 1, which is still on sale.

The Case of The Wayward Brother by Bobby Nash
A beautiful, mysterious blonde wants her brother found. It's a deadly set up, and down on his luck private eye, Rick Ruby walks into a dangerous case of cold-blooded murder.

On the surface, the case seemed simple enough. All Rick Ruby had to do was track down the runaway brother of the sexy socialite from California then collect his fee. Of course, in Rick Ruby’s world, even the simplest case is never that simple.

Learn more about Rick Ruby and The Ruby Files at Airship 27 Productions, the official Rick Ruby website, and or course, I'll keep you update here.

Airship 27 Productions dons its tough-guy mantle, as it premiers its newest pulp star in THE RUBY FILES.

Vol. 2 art: Nik PoliwkoIt was the 1930s and America was locked in the grip of the Great Depression. Gangsters controlled the major cities while outlaws roamed the rural back country. It was a time of Speak Easy gin-joints, Tommy-guns, fast cars and even faster dames. This is the world of New York based Private Investigator Rick Ruby, a world he is all too familiar with. From the back alleys of Gotham to the gold laden boulevards of Hollywood, Ruby is the shamus with a nose for trouble and an insatiable appetite for justice. So if you’ve got a taste for hot lead and knuckle sandwiches, tug your cuffs, adjust your fedora and light up a Lucky, a brand new pulp detective is coming your way.

Created by pulp masters, Bobby Nash & Sean Taylor, Rick Ruby echoes the tales of Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe while offering up his own brand of
Vol. 1 back covertwo-fisted action. Joined by fellow pulp smiths Andrew Salmon & William Patrick Maynard, these modern scribes of purple prose present a quartet of tales to delight any true lover of private eye fiction. This instant classic features a gorgeous Mark Wheatley cover and eight evocative black and white illustrations by Rob Moran.

This is a book that harkens back to the classic black and white Warner Brothers gangster movies that featured James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson to name a few. The atmosphere is gritty with a no-nonsense hero pulp fans are going to applaud from the first story to the last. And when that last tale comes to a close, you can bet we haven’t seen the last of Rick Ruby, Private Eye.
