Ben Teeter was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Maryland, amidst the blended cultures of his dad’s old Appalachian ways of tough work and nature’s beauty, and his mom’s more jolly family life of prosperous, rural Americana. Due to close proximity, he also experienced the expanded and vibrant cultural mix of life in the D.C. beltway, which helped to influence his perspective of the larger world.

From a young age, he held a love for writing, but his passion and connection to the art truly came alive while attending John Hopkins University, from which he received a full scholarship.
