Flames Are Burning

http://www.youaphotography.com

Flames Are Burning

Beads of sweat upon my skin….Salty tastes mixing in….As bodies linger skin to skin

Flames are burning…Your touch afire…Fingertip embers…Make me crazy with desire

Flames are burning,Rock me baby,Hold me tight,I’ll be burning, Through the night

Ice my skin, Cool me off

It’s no use, Alarms go off

Flames are burning,Your touch afire

Fingertip embers, Make me crazy, With desire

Mercury rising!

I soar to space

Rockets go off!

A blazing race

Flames are burning

Embers red!

Cool me off

In this bed

It’s no use

I soar to space

Blazing trails

Making me rail

I call your name…Hold you tight…Sweet dreams baby

Turn out the light

I Broke My Trunk Author Mo Willems

Reblogged from Children's Book Reviews:

You should pick up a copy of I Broke My Trunk a very good book. My daughter who is 36 came home with a sixty-four page copy of I Broke My Trunk! (an Elephant And Piggie Book) from the school book store.

Summary:

Gerald the elephant tells his best friend Piggie a long, crazy story about how he broke his trunk.

Read more… 141 more words

The title caught my name. The book sounds adorable.

If I were an angel

If I were an angel

With my wings, I would sweep

All the moon’s dust

And stars I would reap

My wings would start to flutter

The dust would begin to fall

Atop of my loved ones

Gently covering all

If I could bring you smiles

Inside of a jar

Covered in moon dust

Filled with some stars

All my clouds would have rainbows

Silver linings galore

Time would be kind

And you, adored

Clear skies overhead

Not a cloud in sight

A jarful of blessings

And peaceful nights

*

My time on earth

Faded and past

Eternal time

Love will outlast

I am here in the stars

And in the moon’s dust

I cover you up

On this you can trust

I am in the bird’s song

And in a the sun’s beam

Look all around

I can be seen

My spirit will move

A breeze in the wind

It is the circle of life

….A soul never ends

Granny Has A Whisker

This is an excert from a childrens book of rhyme I recently wrote and illustrated. It will be launched very soon, probably within the week. I will let you know when. It would be wonderful included in a child’s Easter Basket. It will be available at all major bookstores including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, LuLu & Kobo.  Will be printed as digital eBook, paperback and hardback.

Granny had a whisker on her chin

It stuck straight out Like a pin

It poked me in the eye

When I gave her a kiss

So I gave it a yank I couldn’t resist

It got longer and longer

Having no end

So I gave it a push and watched it resend

She says at birth

We all look alike

Then we look different

When our growth spikes

Then we go grow old and look alike again

Which is why she has a whisker on her chin

She looks like like Pappy sporting a beard

It’s nothing unusual but I think it’s weird

One day I might pluck it and tell it good-bye

So it can no longer poke my eye

Yes, Granny has a whisker on her chin but now I carefully kiss her

So it won’t stick me again

Renee Robinson (small excert from book launching of “Granny Had A Whisker”)

Let me know if what you think? Writing childrens books is a new venture for me.

The Birth

Image from: http://thesalesblog.com

It is time to bring in the New Year

The ball will drop and all will cheer

A bell will ring as it counts time

Mother Nature is ready when it chimes

People around the world gather to cheer

Promises are made, soon to be broken

Kiss are given, words of love spoken

It is time to ring

The birth of a New Year

A blessed event.

The time is near

Labor pain comes and goes

Father Time paces, during the light show

Midnight is coming and so is a new year

The bell chimes  the birth, so all can hear

May you all prosper. May you all be well

Baby New Year is born with a message to tell

Everyone grew silent so they may hear

May you all have a Happy New Year

Book Launching

The Paws Claus

The Paws Claus

Nae’s Nest

Introducing my first children’s book, including full color graphics, The Paws Claus. This is the first of a Holiday Series. Allow your child to read the experiences of Spooky and Boo as they learn about the holidays and enjoy for the first time.

As all kittens, they are mischievous and often funny. For an original touch, I’ve included coloring pages depicting the characters. These are found in the last chapter of the hardback and paperback.

The Paws Claus, Holiday Series. Book 1 The Great Star

Spooky and Boo are 6 week old kittens who live happily with their mama and Lily. The only hook in their fish is Old Man Groush. Mama tries to explain why Groush is the way he is and why they must behave. She has her paws full keeping the kits out of his way.

The playful and inquisitive kittens do try to be good for Mama and Lily. Not only is Old Man Groush’s anger faster than the speed of light, the tiniest things can set his jets into orbit.

Something happens which leaves the kitten frightened and alone on Christmas Eve. Soon they meet an alleycat who reluctantly invites them to stay the night with him until they figure out what to do.

Bonus Chapter! The last chapter in printed copies only, is a Color The Cats section. Each cat character can be colored.
