My first attempt to write a novel saw me stumped at 10,000 words. Still, that didn't stop me from editing it over and over and over. Just stop. Move on.

Also, I would recommend reminding yourself that works of art are never 'finished'. It's too easy to keep tweaking something in the hope of reaching perfection. but you can't. More likely you'll squeeze all the good stuff out of it. Basically, over-editing is a big no no. (less)
