Today, I heard a story about a man who lost both hands in World War II. Instead of getting down on himself or giving up on his dreams, he did it all. He learned how to care for himself, get dressed, have a family, work, and fight through the struggles with a smile on his face. His determination and grit to take something negative and turn it into motivation truly inspired me.
When I hear stories like that, I think about gratitude, and how easy it is to focus on the negative. I have so many blessings in my life. We all do. They may be big, they may be small, but they are there if we look close enough.
When I grow up, I want to be more like him. I want to see the good in the bad. I want to laugh. I want to inspire. I want to motivate.
