Jennifer Wright has been writing since middle school, eventually earning a master's degree in journalism from Indiana University. However, it took only a few short months of covering the local news to realize that writing fiction is much better for the soul--and definitely way more fun. A born and bred Hoosier, she was swept off her feet by an Air Force pilot and has spent the past decade traveling the world and, every few years, attempting to make old curtains fit in the windows of a new home.

She currently resides in New Mexico with her husband, two children, one grumpy dachshund, and a herd of overly demanding guinea pigs.

She is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers Association) and her second novel, 'Come Down Somewhere,'

I actually became interested in the Dust Bowl when I moved to New Mexico and witnessed a dust storm in person. It was one of the most terrifying (but also fascinating) things I had ever seen! It sparked my interest in dust storms and, ultimately, the Dust Bowl, and I began devouring every book and movie I could find about the subject. I read so many interesting books, but I will say Ken Burn's documentary was what sealed the deal for me. Hearing stories from survivors' own lips was so powerful. It was what convinced me that I needed to write a book about the Dust Bowl. I wanted to honor these men and women and bring some awareness to the difficulties they endured (and I truly hope 'If It Rains' did just that!)(less)

When The Wall Came Down

When World War II came to an end in 1945, a pair of Allied peace conferences at Yalta and Potsdam convened to determine the fate of Germany’s territories. After much discussion, they decided to split the former Axis power into four “allied occupation zones”: The eastern part of the country went to the Soviet Union, while the western part went to the United States, Great Britain and (eventually) Fr

“Abandoning us is simply not in His nature; it’s not who He is.”
Jennifer L. Wright, Come Down Somewhere

“And he was hugging me, kissing me, propriety and rules now pieces of debris, washed out with the storm.”
Jennifer L. Wright, Last Light Over Galveston

“A world in need of a faith like hers. A faith of sacrifice, of service, of loving others before self, no matter the cost. I remembered her prayers, every morning, every evening, short, quiet . . . and powerful. She never left those prayers sitting on her Bible; they went with her all through the day, draped over her like a shawl, opening her eyes to things others couldn’t see, giving her strength to charge forward when others shrank away. I”
