The most consistently adventurous, alarming, arresting, electrifying world/fusion artist I know, a self-described Inuit-punk with an imagination worthy of her vocal agility, she's a groaning, growling, circular-breathing banshee who can bring the beautifulness when she feels like it, a world traveler and other-musics absorber who somehow manages never to let the icy core of her work melt or soften.
