María Pilar Conn (Instagram: @mariapilarconn) nació en Indianápolis, Indiana, en 1968. Completó sus estudios de bachillerato en Los Gatos High School, en California, donde vivió durante seis años antes de mudarse a España. María Pilar siente debilidad por los vestidos de estilo años cincuenta, detesta el clima caluroso (¡algo curioso, dado que vive en el sur de España!) y tiene un ritual matutino infalible: disfrutar de un buen café acompañado de un libro, normalmente en compañía de su pequeña perrita, Mari Cruz.

Como escritora, María Pilar explora la ficción gótica y de misterio bajo el seudónimo de M.P. Conn, mientras que publica poesía con su nombre completo.

Maria Pilar Conn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1968. Over the years, she has worked in various roles, including interior designer, secretary, receptionist, and even a few less glamorous jobs that helped make ends meet. For nearly six years, she owned Cardinal American Bakery in Cabo de Palos, Spain, where she specialized in creating sculpted cakes for weddings and special events.

She completed her high school education at Los Gatos High School in California, where she lived for six years before moving to Spain. Shortly after her arrival, she pursued studies at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Murcia, where her passion for illustration, technical drawing, and painting first took root.

María Pilar has a fondness for 1950s-style dresses, a strong dislike for hot weather (a surprising choice given her residence in southern Spain!), and an unwavering morning ritual of enjoying coffee with a good book, often in the company of her tiny dog, Mari Cruz.

As a writer, María Pilar explores gothic and mystery fiction under the pen name M.P. Conn, while publishing poetry under her full name.

I would have given this book ten stars. Wonderful read, took me back to my childhood reading preferences. The sisters are lovely, the dog, the father... loved every minute of this book and will read the others.

A great gothic read. Sure, I could have done without the porn scenes, which always turn me off, but I just skipped them like always.
