Geo's Fortune

Geo's Fortune hooked me from the very beginning! A proactive young girl starts a psychic rock-reading business to support her mom. I'm invested! I love how the story artfully guides readers through the protagonist's journey, as she evolves from being skeptical about the art of fortune-telling to embracing a heartfelt belief in the power of manifesting her dreams. It conveys the powerful message that money isn't the key to happiness and fulfillment.

The characters are likable, believable, and relatable, resonating with readers of the same age. The plot is clean and thoughtfully crafted, gently addressing teen personality conflicts. Kudos to Mucha for creating such a fun and engaging book for tweens!

Elsa's Chessboard

This beautifully written book tells the inspiring story of a girl whose passion for chess lights up her life and transcends generations to her great-grandchildren. Her unwavering enthusiasm for the game shines, even against the odds of it being viewed as a boys' game, fostering deep bonds with her husband and forging connections across continents and friendships. It is magical to see how the younger generations embrace her love for chess. The illustrator captures charming details from each place and time period, making this a memorable read.
